When it comes to organization, what room in your house or apartment annoys you the most? For many parents, the answer is easy: the playroom! While keeping a playroom mess-free is a task that might seem downright Sisyphean (if you'll excuse the highfalutin' Greek mythology reference), we're here to make it more bearable.
Our Brand Ambassadors have recently taken on their own playroom organization challenges, and the results are fantastic. Take a look at a few of them below, and hopefully you'll be inspired too!
Jeni Lee
"Who's ready for a playroom reveal?" asks home blogger Jeni Lee. (We are!) Her young son Grey has a lot of toys, and she decided it was time to create a storage space that was easier for him to access. She began by organizing their shelving unit. "For the cube shelf, we switched out our old baskets and opted for the large iDesign Linus Cubes," she says. " I love that Grey can see exactly what's in them and it's fun to see the colors show through!"

Jeni then turned her attention to Grey's books and decided our Marie Kondo Wall-Mounted Bookshelves would be a cute way to store and display them. "The wall-mounted bookshelves are functional and come in many fun colors," she says. "We plan on rotating the books here regularly and made sure they are easily accessible for Grey!"

Meredith Goforth
To professional organizer Meredith Goforth, a new home means all kinds of fun organizational possibilities. "When we moved in our new house last month, one of the areas I was most excited about working on was the 'Boy Lounge' downstairs," she says. To help her elementary-age boys keep their LEGOs from getting out of hand, she felt our Lego Storage Heads and Drawers would do the trick nicely. "These storage pieces are the perfect size for the kids to easily pick out the LEGOs they want, and also to contain them when they aren't in use," she explains.

For her boys' other toys and games, Meredith went in a different direction. "Some of the pieces that I centered my design around are these gorgeous Marie Kondo Ori Rattan Cubes," she says. "Being honest, I was designing this playroom for ME just as much as I was for my kids. The Rattan Cubes add sophistication to the space, but are sturdy enough to withstand daily use and fit perfectly into my cube shelving. And I love how the Birch Bin Clip Labels pop against the black rattan!"

"If there isn't a system in place for all of [your kids'] stuff, you are going to have chaos," Meredith adds. "And nobody likes spending time in a room like that--parents OR kids!"
Devin VonderHaar
In Devin VonderHaar's case, the toy storage project wasn't for her own home, but for one of her clients. "I've been wanting to try out the Marie Kondo storage line for a while, so I was thrilled that my client had a need that aligned at the perfect time," the professional organizer says. To store a selection of toys and books, Devin brought in the Kawaii Cotton Rope Bins in wheat yellow and sakura pink, noting how they added a "pop of color" to the spaces. Some of the bins needed to store an assortment of smaller items, so she placed Marie Kondo's Accessory and Letter-Sized Pouches, which she then labeled using a Cricut Joy.

Devin really enjoyed what these products added to her client's space. "I loved being able to utilize these built-in shelves to tuck everything away and create a functional system to keep kiddo clutter to a minimum, especially in a high traffic area like the living room," she says.
Emily Counts
The organization challenge Emily Counts wanted to tackle involved her daughter's art supplies. The home and organization content creator began with a selection of products from The Home Edit by iDesign. These items included the Large Drawers ("some of my favorites!" she chimes in), All-Purpose Bins, and Bin Organizers, and she put them to work storing items such as glitter, crayons, stamps, glue, scissors, paint brushes, and Play-Doh.

For paper storage, Emily stacked two Portrait Acrylic Drawers atop one another. And to contain coloring books and notebooks, she added in a pair of Palaset Clear Magazine Holders. Now, this space looks better than ever, and her daughter loves it. "Chloe's craft supplies finally have a proper home!" Emily gushes.

Lindsey Escalera
"When it comes to organizing toys and kid zones, keep it easy, accessible, and make sure everything has a home," suggests home and interior design blogger Lindsey Escalera. "When kids can reach everything and the storage solutions are easy to use, it all becomes much more manageable." Also a fan of The Home Edit by iDesign's products, she placed the Large Drawers into a lower cabinet devoted to small toy storage. She then added several decorative baskets to the space, including Holga Storage Cubes and a particularly cute Unicorn Water Hyacinth Bin. These not only look great, but are also made from sustainable materials.

Next to the cabinets, Lindsey brought in a White 3-Tier Cart to hold children's books. One of our most versatile solutions, it provides instant mobile storage and can be customized with a variety of accessories. "The Container Store has so many storage solutions to contain the chaos of toys," she says. "From baskets and carts to stackable drawers, there is a solution for everything."
