Custom Spaces for All Types of Places

At The Container Store, we like to think of a cluttered closet or an under-utilized space in much the same way that a painter regards a blank canvas--as an abundance of possibilities. For us, the "trouble areas" of our customers' homes represent enormous untapped potential and where we begin transforming lives through the power of organization. 

Because Elfa is one of the most tried-and-true ways to transform any space, it is especially beloved by our Brand Ambassadors. They frequently use it to help solve organization problems in both their clients' and their own homes. A few of our Brand Ambassadors recently shared these transformations with us, and you can see the amazing results below.

"I knew we needed to create more storage in our newly transformed nursery," says professional organizer Leslie Marshall, "so for this month's project I chose to DIY the closet space we had with the amazing Elfa system!" After measuring the space and choosing the lovely Birch Elfa Décor¿components, she worked with our Custom Closet designers to create an extra-special space for Baby Reese. The final installed closet system included lots of hanging space--complete with tiny and adorable Non-Slip Velvet Hangers--as well as plenty of shelf space for an assortment of clothing bins. Determined not to waste any space, Leslie also added a customized Elfa Door & Wall Rack¿for accessory storage. "I am absolutely over the moon about this project!" she raves.

Professional organizer Jeanette Colley also took on a child's closet project--in this case, her own daughter's. "I challenged myself to do this project all by myself from beginning to end and am so proud of the way it¿turned out," she says. "The [installation] plans [The Container Store] included make the process so easy!" Using White Elfa Décor¿components, Jeanette created a precisely organized yet flexible closet system perfect for a growing girl. With plenty of hanging, shoe, and shelf space--as well as a number of neatly-labeled Water Hyacinth Bins--her daughter is all set for organization for years to come!

Lifestyle expert Lindsay DiPonzio took some time before the birth of her baby to knock out a few final home projects, one of which was her pantry. While her existing pantry shelves were adequate, they didn't quite provide the flexibility or the "WOW" factor that she wanted, so we were eager to help her accomplish that. Now, the pantry's Birch Elfa Décor Shelves and Drawers¿look incredibly tidy and make it feel like a whole new space. "Holy moly...The Container Store has officially exceeded my expectations on this one," Lindsay says. "Our pantry is SOOO much more accessible now, and this custom Elfa system gave us so much more space! I'm obsessed with the drawers and the fact that I don't have to bend down to get my bagel toaster anymore!" As far as we're concerned, anything we can do to help a mom-to-be is time well spent!

Mother-daughter organizing duo Margaret and Stetson Sundin received a fun challenge from one of their clients: a toy closet makeover! The space had previously been cluttered and under-utilized, so they worked with our skilled designers to put together a super-organized White Ventilated Elfa shelving and drawer system guaranteed to put a smile on any kid's face. With the additional help of Curver Infinity Boxes and Basketweave Storage Bins, the kids now have a place for every stuffed animal and block, and with plenty of room to play.
