A Win-Win Partnership
The Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program is a workforce development initiative designed for active-duty military members within 180 days of transitioning from military service. This innovative program places highly skilled and educated transitioning service members with employers committed to hiring them for a 12-week internship, facilitating a seamless transition into the civilian workforce.
This fall, we were honored to welcome US Air Force Command Chief Master John Chilcote to our Procurement Department as our first fellow. John's wealth of experience and leadership qualities have not only enriched our team but have also provided him with valuable insights into the corporate environment. "I'm incredibly thankful for The Container Store being my host company for the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program!" Command Chief Master Chilcote said. "It delivered invaluable exposure and experience to several aspects of corporate business that I had previously not used or been exposed to and gave me the bandwidth to work on my transition from the military. It's a phenomenal program that I'd highly recommend to every transitioning member!"
