Since 1971, Metrocrest Services has provided hope and relief to those who need a helping hand by offering a comprehensive bundle of services to address gaps in finances, employment, and nutrition to holistically help end poverty.

We were honored to assist Metrocrest Services in their mission by creating a custom Elfa storage space for their headquarters in Carrollton, Texas that would allow them to sort and store their supplies and donations more easily. When the project was completed, the folks at Metrocrest Services were ecstatic about the results! For more details, check out the blog post below, which first appeared on their website.

Of all the beautiful spaces at the new home for Metrocrest Services, it may be surprising to learn that one of the employees' favorite spaces is the storage room. But when the door opens and the light comes on, your eye is delighted by glorious rows of perfectly organized supplies in a custom storage solution designed by The Container Store for Metrocrest Services.

"We love this room!" says Caitlin Hardegree, Marketing and Communications Manager with Metrocrest Services, showing off one of the spaces The Container Store transformed as a gift to Metrocrest. "We are in here all the time. Everything has its place."

The purpose of The Container Store, a North Texas-based company, is to transform lives through the power of organization. It is this purpose that drives each individual in the company. To help Metrocrest Services make its new facility in Carrollton a home, 25 Container Store employees chose and installed organizational products that would help Metrocrest Services make the most of its space and assist its mission to provide hope through programs that foster self-sufficiency and independence.

"The work Metrocrest does aligns with our charitable giving focus of mental and emotional wellbeing by addressing a wide variety of needs of underserved individuals in our community to set them up for success," says LaTisha Brandon, Vice President of DEI, Culture & Charitable Giving at The Container Store. "What appealed to us was the value we could add not only through organizing solutions, but also our time and expertise."

Through The Container Store Gives Back Program, the company empowers individuals across its organization to share causes important to them. The Container Store learned about the opportunity to support the new headquarters for Metrocrest Services in Carrollton through a member of The Container Store Board of Directors, and they were chosen as a great organization for The Container Store employees to apply their energy and talents to benefit the community at large.

Employees from The Container Store donated time and expertise in designing custom Elfa shelving, selecting complementary organizing solutions to maximize the space and create workable storage systems. They worked closely with the Metrocrest team to ensure that these solutions would not only look good but also make their work more efficient.

"The power of organization is definitely felt here in the good work that The Container Store did for us, and the products and expertise that they gifted our organization," says Tracy Eubanks, CEO of Metrocrest Services. "It's an honor and a joy to have the experts come to work with us and provide storage solutions like we now have — all for the ultimate benefit of allowing us to best serve our clients."

To other companies that may be looking for a way to help the community in a meaningful way, The Container Store offers this advice: "Be open to opportunities where your expertise can meet a need and build ongoing collaborative relationships," Brandon says.

"We're grateful to have this new space to help us serve our clients with dignity and respect," Eubanks says. "Having help from The Container Store to make sure we are utilizing our new offices in the most efficient and productive manner will only help us meet our mission."
