In observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, The Container Store honors the cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Celebrated from September 15 to October 15, Hispanic Heritage Month coincides with the Independence Day celebrations of the Latin American nations of Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Throughout the observance, our Mosaic Employee Resource Group will be hosting a series of events and experiences that pay tribute to Hispanic heritage. Our plans include an educational keynote event, a weekend of service and space transformation for a community partner, and spotlights throughout the month in our company newsletter featuring Hispanic American employees and Brand Ambassadors.

Companywide Events

On September 14th, our Mosaic Employee Resource Group is hosting an impactful conversation with Fernando Rosario, President & CEO of ExeQath. In this engaging session, Betty Hernandez, our Store Facilities Manager, will guide a discussion entitled "UNIDOS - Building Bridges and Connecting Cultures."

In addition, we're inviting our employees to participate in our Hispanic Heritage Month Weekend of Service. We are asking everyone to commit to volunteering for two hours between September 23-24 to help us reach our companywide 10,000-hour service impact goal!

In Our Communities

As part of our commitment to give back to causes that are important to our employees and customers, as well as align with our commitment to making a lasting social and economic impact, we're proud to announce our new partnership with The Kaleidoscope Project, a designer showhouse venture that showcases BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) talent within the creative design industry. They do this by partnering with organizations to offer financial and experiential support to BIPOC students through internships, certifications, industry career days, design projects and sponsored trips to industry trade shows. During High Point Market in April 2024, they will reveal the newly-renovated Aiden Hotel which will include spaces designed exclusively by 20 BIPOC designers.

In Our Stores

Customers will find signage throughout our stores and at the registers detailing how we're commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month this year and how they can support the giving campaign by making donations online. Our in-store music will also feature a culturally relevant and upbeat playlist highlighting Hispanic artists!

Please join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage History Month and honoring the culture, contributions, and legacy Hispanic Americans have and continue to make in our country!
