Preston and Elfa are two of our most versatile lines of custom spaces, and both can make even the smallest spaces capable of holding more than they ever could before. Preston Home Bar
Brand Ambassadors Larisa Bright and Pam Meluskey of Settled recently collaborated with our Design Specialists to create a new space in one of their client's homes. Utilizing our luxurious Preston system in a beautiful Raven finish, we designed a bar area with ample counter space for mixing up cocktails or making coffee. The cabinet designed for barware features glass-front doors, and the layout even includes a space for a small drink fridge. Completing the look are a pair of long wall-mounted display shelves for showing off the client's bourbon collection.
Preston Pantry
Another stunning transformation was brought to us by Brand Ambassador Cecilia Moyer. Replacing the existing wire shelves in her pantry, she opted for a Preston space with built-in shelves, drawers, and cabinets. The upper shelves house everything from paper towels to canned goods, and the counter area holds an easily-accessible array of breakfast cereals in glass jars, as well as a coffee station. On the lower shelves are stacking bins stocked with chips and snacks, and the Black Vertica Wire Bins filled with fruit perfectly complement the Preston space's black hardware.
Elfa Kids' Closets
Brand Ambassador Meredith Goforth recently updated a pair of closets using White Elfa Décor shelves. In the first, she removed the existing wire shelves and replaced them with Elfa, and then separated the contents--swim gear, winter clothes, linens, etc.--into White Montauk Bins with labels.
The second closet features double doors, and Meredith split up each section between shelves (this time with Grey Montauk Bins and black labels) and two levels of hanging clothes. It was a fairly simple project, but she was very pleased with the results. "Simple but sturdy shelves, matching bins, and labels turned this space around," she says. "This was such an easy, enjoyable process from start to finish--I can't say enough positive things about the transformative powers of working with The Container Store!"
Elfa Garage
Brand Ambassador Devin VonderHaar chose Platinum Elfa Classic Shelves to help tame her client's messy garage. "The process was super simple," she says, describing the collaboration between her client, herself, and our Design Specialist. Upon providing the space's dimensions and discussing the client's storage needs, our Design Specialist quickly created a robust organization system that included shelves, utility hooks, bike storage, and even gliding shoe shelves. Once it was installed, she rounded out the new system with an assortment of Clear Weathertight Totes. "I love how the Elfa system is SO customizable," Devin says. "They'll be able to evolve the system to meet their needs as their family grows."
