Your Very Own Customized Treasure Chest

When Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun's burial chamber was rediscovered in the Valley of the Kings in 1922, one of the objects found inside was an ornately painted wooden chest. Upon opening it, archaeologists discovered numerous ancient artifacts, including necklaces, a belt, and other small articles of clothing. While this may not be the oldest example of a jewelry box we have, it's clear that, for at least the last several thousand years, humans have been carefully storing away the things they treasure most.
