With the holidays quickly approaching, many homes will soon be filled with the warm aroma of delicious baked goods of all shapes, sizes and flavors. Of course, these goodies require lots of precisely measured ingredients, so having a carefully organized spice station in your kitchen is essential to avoiding mix-ups and making sure everything tastes good.

You know who's good at organizing? Professional organizers, that's who! Since several of our Brand Ambassadors happen to be professional organizers, we spoke with them to find out which spice and baking storage products they recommend. Check out their suggestions below!

"The Container Store has everything you need to get your kitchen organized for the upcoming holiday season!" says Leslie Marshall, singling out the ProKeeper+ Canisters for praise. "From pretty canisters to your spice collection, the ProKeeper set is perfect for every baker, keeping your ingredients fresher longer." After using them to store her sugar and flower, Leslie neatly labeled each container, making it easy to immediately identify the contents. After all, no baker wants to accidentally use salt in place of sugar!

Maura Fitzgerald

In her kitchen, Maura Fitzgerald went the full Marie Kondo route by arranging her Glass Spice Jars--along with the helpful pre-printed labels--on an open kitchen shelf using Marie's 3-Tier Expanding Shelves. Made from easily-renewable bamboo, these shelves can adjust from 11-5/8" to 20-1/8" wide depending on the available space. Plus, they're not just for spices; they're as easily adept at organizing smaller canned goods, cosmetics, craft supplies, or small toys, so they can spark joy anywhere in your home.

For her Instagram followers, Azure MacCannell shared three different spice storage solutions featuring the Marie Kondo Glass Spice Jars--after all, every kitchen is different! In the first solution, she set them in a kitchen drawer and neatly organized them into rows using YouCopia Spiceliners. In the second example, Azure placed the jars on a YouCopia UpSpace Turntable Shelf, and then added a labeled White Plastic Storage Bin below it as a container for extra, lesser-used spices. Then, for her last solution, she arranged them in tiers using our iDesign Linus Spice Racks. All three storage methods are terrific solutions, depending on one's own preference and available space.

Jolin Polasek is a big fan of both the Marie Kondo Spice Jars and the ProKeeper+ Canisters in her kitchen cabinet. "The ProKeeper Professional Bakers Set has something for everyone," she raves. "Each piece is uniquely designed for a different ingredient in your pantry. And the Marie Kondo jars and tiered shelf are stunning in my cabinet. They're made of glass and wood, giving a very organic feel. Who's ready to bake some holiday goodies with me?" In such a small space, these products can clearly make a big difference!

"Who doesn't love a freshly baked pie?" asks Rachel Dickerson. (Answer: probably no one.) "When this project came along, I knew the one person who would benefit from it--my good friend Nilou, owner and lead baker of Sweetwater Pies." In addition to sorting her friend's spices into the Marie Kondo Glass Spice Jars, she also stored her bulk dry ingredients into ProKeeper+ Baker's Storage Canisters. "They have an airtight seal and come with a simple measuring scale on the sides," Rachel says. "[They're great] for any avid baker or cook!"
