I am so excited to finally share my new home office with all of you! When we originally looked at this house, one of the things we loved most about it was how much bigger my new office was. There were a couple of things from my last office I knew I wanted to replicate in this space, but it was wonderful to look forward to designing something completely new.
One thing I knew I wanted was another Elfa system. I had Elfa custom shelving in my old office , which you can see HERE, but as my business grew, my home office simply wasn't big enough anymore. Even with its size restrictions, it was still a space I was asked frequently about, given it's beautiful functionality. In fact, the new renters loved the solution so much they asked if we would leave it behind for them.
Once we moved into our new home, my assistant, Lyssa, went to The Container Store to get started on the Elfa design. Their employees were incredibly helpful, and came up with the ideal layout for my office. As you may recall, my last solution only had shelves with hanging space, but since I was going to have more space in this room, I knew I wanted to add drawers to the design.
I was so excited to learn that Elfa had FINALLY created standard covers. It sounds so small, but they made a huge difference when it came to having a clean, built in look. Additionally, the white décor shelves added a touch of sophistication to the overall look and feel of the room.
Now that we have this space in my office, I am tempted to install an Elfa solution in the baby's closet and our garage, too. They make shelves, drawers, and accessories for any space you can think of. In fact, you can design a custom solution for your space HERE.
I knew I wanted a simple, clean desk to compliment my Elfa system. This desk is such a great buy, it only has one drawer which I use to store my desk supplies like pens, highlighters, paper clips, etc.
Because I only have one desk drawer, I grabbed this Bisley file cabinet to store my work files and other documents. In my last office, I had an inexpensive cabinet that was constantly broken and it drove me nuts. This time, I decided to splurge on a really nice one, and I am so glad I did!
I use these individual acrylic organizers to create a completely customized system of organization that fits the drawer perfectly.
I am so excited to share my office overhaul with all of you, and I sincerely hope you all love it as much as I do! Stay tuned, because I'm going to be add a rug and a chandelier to this space to finish it off. I just haven't found the perfect ones quite yet!
