In observance of Pride Month, The Container Store recognizes the contributions and achievements of LGBTQ+ individuals and stands in solidarity with the global movement advocating for equal rights and equitable opportunities for LGBTQ+ communities. This annual celebration marks the Stonewall Uprising, a pivotal series of events in Greenwich Village during June 1969 that ignited the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.
Putting Our Pride Into Action
In celebration of LGBTQ+ culture and in an effort to foster greater awareness, education, and understanding of the LGBTQ+ experience, we invite all employees to take part in local events and volunteer opportunities that support the LGBTQIA+ community.
As in years past, team members in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are especially encouraged to support the Resource Center's Pride Celebration on Saturday, 6/28, or to explore one of their year-round volunteer opportunities - such as assisting with the food pantry, meals program, youth and family events, administrative support, and more.
