For more than 35 years, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has made a difference in the lives of critically-ill children across the country. By granting wishes, they're able to put smiles on the faces of thousands of children and give them the strength to keep fighting.

Sometimes, however, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has wishes of its own. In this case, the North Texas chapter wished for a more organized and efficient storage room to make their work easier. And because organized spaces are our bread-and-butter, we knew this was a wish we were uniquely qualified to grant!

The Make-A-Wish team's event storage room and craft closet were the focus of our project. These spaces are by no means glamorous, but our In-Home Organizer friends at Old Space New Space really brought the rooms to life with the addition of Our Clear Storage Boxes, Elfa Utility Tracks and Hooks, and a few of our ever-so-popular Elfa Drawer Units!

"Clear storage boxes are a necessary addition to any storage space—especially when a large group of people is using the same storage area. Being able to see what's inside each box makes it so much easier for people to not only find items, but put them back," says Alison Thompson, founder of Old Space New Space.

The event space before and after the makeover.

Make-A-Wish employees and volunteers were amazed to see how much some tidying up and few simple boxes could dramatically transform their cluttered space. "The biggest impact made from our organized space was to our volunteers. Now when they arrive for their shifts they know exactly where everything is, so they spend less time looking for supplies or reorganizing an event area, and have more time to focus on the kids and families," says office manager Ashley Hankins.

The Make-A-Wish staffed loved how everything turned out!

"Efficiency and effectiveness are two phenomenal outcomes of an organized space, which is why we love to work with our In-Home organizing experts when helping out our awesome nonprofit partners," says Danielle Ricketts, Cultural and Charitable Giving Programs Manager for The Container Store. "We're all about helping our nonprofit partners accomplish mission-critical projects and maximize their space."

"By having everything organized, it's so much easier to deliver on our mission," adds Scotty Landry, CEO of Make-A-Wish North Texas. "From our staff to our volunteers, we all appreciate how fantastic it is to have this type of organization. It truly makes everything we do easier."

We're proud to have helped Make-A-Wish North Texas get organized, and we can't wait to see how it helps them impact even more lives in our communities with their great work!
