Developed by The Container Store with real, everyday organizational challenges in mind, our Everything Drawer Organizers are one of our most versatile drawer storage systems. As a modular solution, it allows you to customize storage according to your needs. They're also made of clear, durable plastic, and the curved interiors allow for easy cleaning. Plus, they feature squared corners so they fit tightly together--quite literally keeping items from falling through the cracks. And silicone feet help keep them from sliding around when the drawers are opened and closed.
But how do you get started? Just follow the step-by-step instructions below!
Pre-Project Prep
Before you begin, make sure you have a clear countertop to work with, as well as cleaning supplies, a tape measure (for measuring the inside of the drawer), a trash can and/or recycle bin (for tossing items you no longer need), and some method of taking notes (like your phone's notepad app, or a good old-fashioned pen and paper).
STEP 1: Clean & sort
First, remove all of the drawer's contents and clean out the inside. Sort each item into one of three categories:
- Keep in the drawer
- Toss out
- Move to another place
STEP 2: Measure the interior and add a liner
Measure the interior width, depth, and height of the drawer. Consider adding some sort of liner to protect the drawer and make it easier to clean.
STEP 3: Choose your Everything Drawer Organizers
Now it's time to choose your fighter. (By "fighter," we mean "preferred drawer organizers." After all, they do fight clutter, so we feel the metaphor is apt.)
- Our original Everything Drawer Organizers are 2" tall and are designed in 3-inch increments (from 3" x 3" to 6" x 15").
- Our Deep Everything Drawer Organizers are 3-1/4" tall and are designed in 2-inch increments (from 4" x 4" to 6" x 12").
Once you've decided which is best for you, place them inside the drawer and sort the items by type into each organizer.
