A decade ago, the USDA estimated that approximately 30-40% of the food supply in the United States ends up wasted. (That's roughly 133 billion pounds--or $161 billion worth--of food that ends up in landfills. Yikes!) Although this problem is obviously much too big for one person to solve, the good news is that all of us can help out in our own ways.
One way to do this is by practicing smarter shopping and cooking habits: avoid overbuying what you don't need, try to cook the food you have on hand before you make another shopping trip, and donating unused items to food banks. And one way to do that is by creating a more organized kitchen--a carefully-curated space in which the contents of your pantry, cabinets, and drawers can be easily assessed before your next trip to the grocery store.

To help one of her clients combat this very problem, the professional organizer brought in a host of Shelf-Depth Pantry Bins and used them to divide the pantry's contents into categories. Now kitchen essentials such as coffee, broth, noodles, and cleaning supplies have designated places (with each bin clearly labeled), and the client can easily see what they have in an instant.

Cas Aarssen
"Organizing a drawer is the perfect project to kickstart 2023," declares our brand partner Cas Aarssen. Jennifer Noseworthy
Brand Ambassador and home organization blogger Jen Noseworthy also put our Everything Organizers to work in her kitchen. Specifically, she utilized the Cabinet-Depth Pantry Bins to sort her "wellness cabinet," giving everything from vitamins to first aid items a proper home. Lindsey Escalera
Brand Ambassador Lindsey Escalera also tackled a pantry project. In this case, the home/interior design blogger outfitted her shelves with a variety of Everything Organizers, including Pantry Bins, a Deep Turntable, and 3-Tier Organizer with Drawer. In particular, the 3-Tier Organizer was a great use of space; not only does it sort her canned goods in way that makes them all easy to find, but the built-in drawer makes a convenient place to sort oven bags and other smaller items.
