Darling bench
I was looking for a small storage bench like this for 3 years. I do not have extra space to put my shoes near the front door and this does the job. I love that it has removable inside container that I can clean easily. It is also sturdy enough to sit on it. Thank you Container Store!

Perfect for Apartment LIfe
I purchased this attractive storage bench for use in my apartment bathroom. It is perfect for this application. Multi-functioning as a seat and a bath and towel storage bin. I have four bath towels, two hand towels, and about a half dozen wash clothes stored within.
I also like the design and materials. Very well crafted. Substantial feel to it which is hard to do with this size.

Have a seat!
This was the perfect addition to our master bath. It gives us a comfortable place to sit after a shower AND a place to toss dirty towels and washcloths.
But we made one adjustment -- the inner cloth container is divided into four small compartments. They are too small to provide much storage. But we found it was possible to carefully cut the divider out, leaving one large bin that is much more useful for us.
The unit is well made and very attractive.

Great Storage Bench
I purchased one a few weeks ago. It works perfect near my front door to use as an extra seat and shoe storage. The seat is actually comfortable. I liked it so much I purchased another one to put at the end of a hallway as well.

PERFECT ENTRYWAY ACCENT PIECE
I was looking for a smallish bench that could be sat on and be used in a little entryway location. The price was so reasonable that I didn't expect this bench to be the best. WRONG! It is simply lovely and very well made. Don't let the fair price fool you because this is an amazing value on a HIGH Quality item! I took two pics to show how wide the front can be opened for storage. I really appreciate the fact that there are waterproof plastic covers inside of the slots inside the bench. That way muddy boots, wet mittens, dirty dog leashes etc will not damage the beautiful bamboo. If you prefer, the divider is also removable. The stunning, linen cushioned seat is very comfortable also and holds up to 225 lbs I believe. It is a nice place to sit and tie your sneakers on your way out for a run. My cats and dogs also like to sit there. It's just a fabulous piece and I am so glad I got it immediately. If you love it, don't hesitate. It's awesome!

Just about right...
The biggest reason I'm only giving this 4 stars? The seat, when raised, requires a clearance of about 2" behind the bench, so it would have to stick out into the walking space. I didn't see that info in the description/dimensions. That's too much of a tripping hazard in our small, multi-generation house. (Yes, I know the front folds open.)
Also, if I was involved in designing the perfect entry bench, I'd make the insert Velcro-adjustable (or ?) for storing reusable shopping bags or other slightly larger items like a backpack or 2.
