When home décor expert Kris Jarrett (Driven by Décor) was finally done remodeling her kitchen she was very happy with the results, but there was an unexpected downside: her garage was now messier! "To be honest, it wasn't exactly neat and tidy before our kitchen renovation," she admits, "but the addition of extra tools, molding samples, packaging materials, painting supplies, and a massive layer of construction dust took it to next-level chaos." Before
Kris worked with a Custom Design Specialist to map out a plan tailored to her garage's specific needs. After
The main storage area, which had previously consisted of a series of cluttered freestanding shelves and work tables, was now replaced with a sleek, customized new Platinum Elfa shelving solution. The upper rows of Ventilated Shelves hold Clear Weathertight Totes filled with holiday decorations and other lesser-used items--labeled, of course, for immediate identification--and the lower section couples a Shelf Basket full of cleaning products with an array of drawers for storing smaller, more frequently-used items such as work gloves and trash bags.
Kris also made efficient use of her wall space by utilizing our Elfa Pegboards and Top Tracks. Her "much-loved" wall-mounted pegboard adjacent to the workbench keeps a curated selection of hand tools, rolls of tape, and assorted hardware both visible and easily accessible.
