In order to compile the list, they examined over 440,000 employee survey responses from a wide variety of industries, and these survey questions covered topics such as professional development, leadership confidence, and the consistent treatment of employees of different backgrounds. The list also took into account the share of women, people of color, Baby Boomers, and LGBTQ employees in each of these companies.
