National Arab American Heritage Month began as an initiative of the Arab America and the Arab America Foundation¿in 2017 as an effort to celebrate the community's rich heritage and numerous contributions to society. April was federally recognized as National Arab American Heritage Month by President Joe Biden in 2022.
As we celebrate the contributions and heritage of Arab Americans throughout history, we invite you to join us in championing for equity and inclusion of all people by supporting the Arab American Institute (AAI). Their mission is to strengthen democracy, protect civil rights and liberties, and defend international human rights by organizing the 3.7 million Arab Americans across the country to ensure an informed, organized, and effective constituency is represented in all aspects of civic life.
