This storage is a better buy than new wrappings
Corralling all of the gift wrap rolls and gift bags in this organizer showed me that there is no need to shop for additional wrapping supplies next holiday season. Given the cost of paper, gift bags, ribbon, and bows and the time spent doing one unnecessary errand next holiday season, I consider the cost of the Organizer money well spent. Next holiday season I will be even happier to have invested in it.

I use to end up spending so much money on gift bags and wrapping paper because I never could find what I have already purchased. This product has completely changed that. I never over buy because it has organized all my gift paper and bags plus all the little details that you need for presents like scissors and tape. It is an amazing product. I would recommend it to anyone.

Holds lots more than expected
I got the Elfa Gift Wrap over the door organizer but didn't have a closet with the room for it and it was too big for our mostly holiday wrapping needs. We have a lot more bags than rolls of wrap so I was doubtful this would work but it does holds more than expected and rotates too! i would have liked zippers on the bow and ribbons holders.
I thought it was costly at first. Now I'm glad I spent the money to keep everything together so my husband knows where the wrapping stuff is.

Has different types of storage, lots of options. Center pockets opening too large and objects fall out, would be better with some type of closure. Overall all love this product.

Great Design
With Spring around the corner, I have been taking advantage of the last days of winter and getting my house organized.My latest project was clearing out and re-organizing my hall closet, which is when I realized I needed to to do something with all my gift wrap and accessories. I headed to the container store thinking I would need 2 of these to accomodate all of my stuff, between the holiday wrap and the assorted birthday wraps for boys, girls, adults, etc.. Once I saw this,I figured I would start with 1 and see how it went. I was so pleasantly surprised, all of my wrapping material comfortably fit into one organizer, the quality and design is so great. I went back and purchased a second one as I realized I can hang it in the closet and use it to hold umbrellas, and all the small gloves, hats, and scarves for my almost 3 year old, it works wonderfully for that as well, Good job Container Store, thanks.

awesome storage solution.
i feel like i always end up throwing away extra gift wrapping products because i don't have a good way of storing them. i saw this product online and wanted to give it a try.
i have it hanging in our guest room closet and it's PERFECT! it neatly keeps all of my gift bags, wrapping paper, bows, and everything else i use or might need. love this.

Just OK
It's just OK and doesn't hold as much as the picture leads you to believe. I don't think the quality is worth the price.
I do like that you can hang it in a closet. If you have only a small amount of gift wrap, it will probably work fine.
The downside was: (1# hangs awkwardly when loaded with wrapping paper rolls. It would be better balanced if you could hang rolls on both the front and back sides of the unit, #2# the bow and ribbon pouches are OK sized, but the bows fall out because the opening is a mere slit on the front. It would be better if the opening was at the top and closed via zipper or a velcro flap #3# the ribbon pouch opening is too small for larger spools #2.5+ inch ribbon#, and #4) the gift bag and tissue paper pouch is too small for standard sized bags and tissue paper packs.

Disappointed
I was pretty disappointed in this organizer. You cannot tighten the "bands" around the rolls of wrapping paper so they end up hanging forward and therefore cause the entire organizer to hang forward in your closet. Also, the pockets on the front, down the middle, have a diaganol slot for an opening so things easily fall out. There also isn't a good place to store gift bags because the openings in the back aren't big enough.

This is a great alternative for small living spaces. It also helps keep the bows and gift bags from being smashed like they would in the vertical storage box.

Best gift wrap and gift bag organizer
I love this item! It hangs on the inside of a closet door, and is very convenient. The clear plastic lets you see what is stored in it, and it is especially easy to find the appropriate gift bag for your needs. And it holds LOTS of supplies.

Space saver!
I cannot believe how much packaging this holds! I condensed two underbed storage bins into this one organizer. I thought for sure that the weight of all the packaging would cause it to bend or break, but it's still going strong after almost a year. This saves me so much space and I love that I'm able to use vertical storage!

This does mostly what it says it will - hangs and hold gift wrap. But there are many down falls. The quality - could probably sell for $5 and still make a profit and the plastic pockets rip easily. The back area for gift bags will only hold up to 8x11 size and the area for tissue paper isn't wide enough. Really wanted to like this and will use it as the next similar item is $50 but its definitely lacking.

This organizer saved me a lot of space by containing all of our gift wrapping stuff. There's also a specific place for the scissors and the tape. I was able to take everything out of the boxes or down from the shelves and use little of my closet space by hanging it from the rod. I wish some of the front and back compartments were a bit bigger, but it will do...

Good Space-Saver
I like getting my gift wrap off the floor of my guest closet, but this product is a bit smaller than I expected. When you put the gift wrap into the sides it makes it a bit off balance because the gift wrap makes it lean forward.

A little awkward
I don't care for this organizer. probably because i have too much i'm trying to cram in here. it's not convenient to lay down next to where i want to wrap. i will consider the folding "station" elsewhere on this site.

Makes everything so organized!
Great way to store all gift related items (wrapping paper, tissue, bows, ribbon, scissors, tape and bags. Was what I was looking for to store these items and keep them tucked away in my closet.

poor construction
Looked promising for storing my wrapping paper and had good reviews, but when I got it home the hanger literally fell apart in my hands when I took it out of the package.
The hanger hook is attached to the hanger bar using a rubber washer which had deteriorated causing the hook to fall off. If it hadn't fallen apart now, it would have come summer when the the washer dried out and crumbled. Glad I found out now so I can return it instead of having it fall apart on me in 6 months.

Nice Product
I bought this to organize all my gift wrapping supplies I had piled up in a closet. It is great to have all my gift wrap in one location and off the floor. It was a tight squeeze to get all my things in it. It has pockets on the front on each side behind the wrapping paper. I believe these are for name tags, but there are more of these than places for cards. They are too small to fit anything else in there except really small things. I have not found any use for them yet. Also the holder for scissors was too small. Other than that this product turned out better than I thought it would be, and I love it.

Great Gift Wrapping Organizer!
I am so glad a purchased this Hanging Gift Wrap Organizer. At first, it didn't look like it was going to hold all my Christmas gift wrap (ribbon, bows, bags, tissue paper, gift tags, wrapping paper) but I got all of it in each of the convenient holders or pockets. It doesn't take up a lot of room either, so if space is at a premium at your house, this is the way to go. I just hung it in a closet and it doesn't take up much room and makes everything very accessible. Great purchase!

Wonderful!!!
I used to keep all of our gift wrap supplies and associated things (gift bags, bows/ribbons, tissue paper, gift wrap, gift boxes, tags, etc.) in a giant shopping bag in the front hall closet. Needless to say, it quickly became a muddled mess and trying to find anything in the bag was a treacherous and often futile undertaking. I bought this (as well as the gift bag organizer) and - voila! - the closet is totally clean and everything is within reach and VISIBLE!! What's even better, it hangs up in the closet and off the floor, which means everything is more or less at eye level when I open the door looking for something.
The only thing to keep in mind, is that the gift wrap rolls need to be equally distributed on either side, otherwise the whole thing tilts when hanging, and the wider rolls of gift wrap don't fit very well (I have one very wide roll of Christmas wrap that is taller than the organizer itself, so it won't fit when i try to hang it up (the roll hits the bottom of the shelf that sits above the hanging bar - does that make sense?).

Pretty good solution for small spaces
We have very little storage space in our apartment, so this seemed like the best option for us to keep our gift wrap and accessories together. I agree with other posters that it would be better if it could accommodate the longer gift wrap rolls. We still put ours in the holder even if they flop over a bit. I like the amount of smaller spaces for ribbon, cards, bows, etc., but I'm not crazy about the slotted openings "for easy access" because the items fall out rather easily.
In short, its not perfect but its still a very good solution for those who don't have a ton of storage space. I'd love to see this design improved upon!

Smaller than I expected...
This is a lot smaller than I expected, the top center pocket appears large enough to hold greeting cards and most of mine are too large for the hole. It is effective though, even though I had to put my greeting cards in one of the back pockets.

hanging gift wrap organizer
I purchased this product so I would have a place to store my 40 inch wrapping paper. The hanging organizer cannot be hung straight when storing 40 inch paper because the paper hit the bottom of the shelf above the bar in my closet.
I also wasn't impressed with the middle storage compartments meant for ribbon, tissue paper, and so on. There wasn't any way to close these compartments (zippers or snaps) like I was expecting.
There are not any under the bed boxes long enough to store 40 inch paper either, so I am still looking for a solution. Please get something in long enough to store 40 inch paper. Thanks!

Very Helpful
I already use the "6 compartment hanging sweater bag" to store all my gift bags in, but I really wanted a way to store wrapping paper. This has worked perfectly! I can put 3-5 rolls of wrapping paper on each side, depending on the size. Bows and ribbons store easily in the center. A great purchase!

Wrapping no longer a mess!
My wrapping paper, bows and gift tags were a mess that I dreaded taking out. Now the whole thing is under control and so easy to grab just a sheet or roll. Whatever I need it is easy to acess and use. Love it!!
