They LeakBased on the reviews, thought I'd found (finally) a good travel option for shampoo and other liquids. These were a disaster. All of them leaked. Good thing I put liquids in a storage bag or it would've been worse. Almost didn't because of the "leakproof" marketing.
I just ended up throwing out the entire bag and bottles because it was such a mess. But I did check first to ensure they were on tight (and they were). The search continues, I guess.

You can trust these bottlesI bought a large bottle thinking it would be great when traveling - bring my own alcohol. So far I've used it to bring back what was left of my coffee creamer from vacation. When I buy a small bottle of creamer it's never enough but when I buy a large one it's always too much and I end up leaving it behind. This time I was able to bring the rest home without any worries. I love my italian sweet cream coffee and these bottles so much that I bought the 4oz. size to be able to fill up and take with me when we go out for breakfast on the weekends. I will be purchasing more of these. They are great.

Leakproof bottleWe have struggled to find a small bottle to carry OJ for a diabetic member of our family - a bottle that was washable! This one has a wide enough neck to be able to wash every bit of OJ out of it, so no more mold!

Go to travel necessities!!We have lived overseas for 17 years and are now able to travel with liquids confidently with the Nalgene Leakproof Bottles. They are truly leakproof even after multiple uses and washes! I will not use any other product when packing liquids and will drive many miles to find The Container Store if I find myself without one when time to fly!

leakproofMy husband and I love these little bottles. I am a calligrapher and use them for ink and water. I often use different types of ink and other liquid. They don't leak. I can take them on the airplane, to a meeting and not make a mess. I also use them for storing nibs and wells. They are a really good product.

Perfect for Ink BottlesI'm an ink maker and these bottles are perfect for ink storage, even long-term. The Nalgene plastic does not chemically react with the chemicals in the ink. They are leak-proof and unbreakable. They even ship well through the mail. I love that these bottles come in large sizes, too.

Lived up to their guaranteePurchased three of these for a recent vacation because they were guaranteed leakproof. They held up great. I wish the mouth was smaller or they came with some kind of spout so it would be easier to control the amount of liquid dispensed.
I put a strip of green painter's tape on the bottles then put a printed label over it. I wanted to be able to remove the label and use the bottle for a different product. The paper label came off but the painter's tape stayed on until I removed it. I guess I'll be using a Sharpie to write on the painter's tape in the future.

perfect for my needsI am planning a summer road trip. I bought large bottles of shampoo and conditioner with the idea of pouring them into my smaller bottles of the same products. However, I soon realized that the thick products wouldn't easily pour into the small bottle openings. So I found wide neck unbreakable 16 oz and 8 oz bottles at Container Store.com. These bottles are perfect for pouring the thick hair products and will be great both for home and for travel.

These Nalgene bottles are absolutely the BEST for travel! I didn't trust the "leakproof" claim and we were about to go on a long trip. So I filled one with nailpolish remover (of all things!) and stored it upside down for a week before we left. Every day I shook it HARD once or twice -- just to make sure it would survive the jostling of baggage handling, etc. Well, it was perfect -- not a single drop leaked! Pefect for all my traveling shampoo, moisturizers, handcreams, and nail polish remover! I swear by these -- won't use anything else!

Made Work so much easier!ALL of the Nalgene products are @ the top of my list. As a Flight Attendant, it is so important for leak proof bottles and storage of medications. It keeps the bag and hotel rooms very organized and lasts longer than any other product that I have tried. I started out giving them as little stocking stuffers and now see that friends order them as well. I have even taken them out of my bag and have shown passengers what kind of containers to look for. Especially for the TSA restrictions. Looking forward to purchasing products for the home office. Home life and travel life.... not so similar in organizational skills. Does the JobI have had these for a few years and they truly are Leak Proof. The hard plastic does yellow a bit overtime. Also, the hard plastic does not squeeze, so thick products are hard to get our of the bottle, but the wide mouth does allow you to scoop it with your finger.

Great for salad dressingI have searched and tried many different containers to take italian dressing to work. I guess the oil and more fluid nature make it trickier to contain. They have all leaked ... until now. I found the 1 oz. widemouth size perfect for that use. The wide mouth opening and small size allow me to be able to clean it out well with my fingers. No more relying on adding soap and shaking and hoping for the best. I do wipe the tines or ridges around the mouth if I notice some oil on it before re-closing it at work and so far no leaks. No oily mess in my lunch bag. Happy buyer!

Love these bottles!These bottles are very useful. I cannot have dairy or soy nor can I have most of the pre-packaged milks because of other additives. So I am using coconut milk from the can with my coffee and the 12 oz. Nalgene bottles are perfect for holding the remainder of a can of coconut milk after I have had one serving. I take them with me to restaurants too. No problem with leaking. The wide mouth is what sold me on them becuase I can put them in the dishwasher. They wash and dry like a dream. Also the Nalgene is food-worthy. Perfect containers! I am also using other types for salad oil, rubbing alcohol... so many uses!

Perfect for my Juicing LifestyleI'm an avid juicer of fruits and veggies. These bottles are AWESOME! The 16oz is what I use. Nutrients are destroyed when stored in transparent bottles. These bottles are opaque, which is perfect for preservation sake. They are also very easy to clean, though not in the dishwasher. I had to buy a baby bottle scrubber, but armed with that, it is just fine. Absolutely no issues with spills or leaks. Great product!

These bottles are indestructable!!!!I've been traveling with these bottles for several years, and have YET to have one crack, break, or leak. I can put any liquid in them and pack with confidence, knowing that my clothing will not be ruined--no matter what. If you travel regularly, these bottles are a must!!!!

Is the 32oz size a genuine Nalgene bottle? Shelf label says it is, but unlike smaller sizes, it does *not* have the word "Nalgene" molded into the cap and bottom of the bottle.

They are screw top, but there is no nozzle. The liquid just pours out after you open it. This is slightly inconvenient, but in my experience items with nozzles are more likely to leak.

Will this bottle not leak if packed in checked luggage?
Need to take distilled water on a trip to Japan for a c-pap machine. Want to know if this bottle with distilled water in it will not leak if packed in checked baggage? Concerned about the pressure of air travel for checked baggage may cause a leak.

I think this is the safest option on the market. I have used them in checked luggage many, many times and never had a leak. Of course there is always the tiny possibility that you get a bad one or something, but I think this is your safest option. Enjoy your trip!
