Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best travel item ever! I own 3 medium and 1 small pack-it folders. My first pack-it was a gift. I was so impressed with the quality as well as the ability to pack more clothing that I bought the other 3. It takes a little practice to fold the clothes so that they don't wrinkle; however, once you've accomplished this you will agree that this is the only way to pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big fan! I purchased two of these in medium size (and some compression bags) last year before a trip to Italy/European cruise. These folders are lightweight; if you carefully fold and stack items, clothing comes out practically wrinkle free. My friends were amazed and are still talking about how much I was able to pack into such a small suitcase for a 16-day trip. Also, I recently I attended my son's destination wedding, and I didn't even have to iron anything. I am so happy with this line of packing products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review I haven't used this particular "Pack It' yet and won't be using until Sept. I have used other Pack It folders and just love them. Made packing clothing so easy and expect the same results from my new Pack It. Shirley

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gift Bought this and a couple of other pieces for a high school graduation gift for a young man who's planning to do a lot of traveling/backpacking....LOVE them. We loved them enough to purchase a few sets for my 16 yr old to pack for a couple of summer trips. Next purchase is for myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! Clothes don't wrinkle! Love that it is light weight and washable. On my return trips I pack it with my dirty clothes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A necessity for packing One can pack a significant amount of clothing and it arrives in perfect compresses the clothes. I highly recommend it and have done so to my friends. If you buy only one thing, this is it. Not worth buying the smaller size (or larger one if there is one). This size fits exactly in a small carry on. One has space for two of these in a carry on luggage or just one along with a layer of other smaller bags (this is what I did).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pack-It Folders Bought one of these and one of the black ones. Love both of them. I was amazed at how much went into one of them and how little they wrinkled. Headed for a three week trip soon and these will sure come in handy. Off to pick up two more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My newest favorite packing aid I actually bought two of these bags (one in the heavier blue fabric, one in the lighter fabric) to pack for a trip to Venice. They enabled me to take a carry-on bag for an eight-day trip! I prefer the lighter one, even though it is more expensive, because it takes up less space. I used the folding board to separate tops from pants in one of the units and sweaters from skirts in the other unit. I prefer this method to the packing aids that you roll up to squeeze out air because the clothes become much less wrinkled and the containers themselves are handy when you unpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can now fold in thirds. I was never able to fold shirts in 3rds, the way the stores do, until now. This is a very helpful at helping you fold and pack shirts without excessive wrinkling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very deceiving We went on a recent family trip out of the country and invested in a few Pack-It pieces. The best investment we've ever made. Love that these are lightweight and the material looks very durable. Love, love, love! We really packed this to the brim and our clothes arrived to our destination with no wrinkles and it occupied minimal space in our suitcase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy the lightweight version is available I have the older version of these but I much prefer the lightweight material. Take care with the velcro not to snag clothing. I don't leave home without these gems.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Clothes were still wrinkled I bought this for a two week trip in Italy to hold nicer items since I wash' checking a bag. While it did keep things organized, my items were still wrinkled when I arrived. Also, it does not hold the capacity that it said it did on the package. Not a bad product for a few nicer items, but not what I was hoping it would be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I bought the small Eagle Creek Specter Pack-It folder and was able to fold and pack several blouses and shirts into a neat little package that easily fit in my suitcase. Shirts came out nicely folded and with few if any creases or wrinkles. Shirts I didn't use remained in the pack and made re-packing at the end of a trip a breeze. I can't wait to purchase more sizes so my entire suitcase can be organized.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Product! I am so happy that I bought 2 of these! They are wonderful, easy to use and clothes really do not wrinkle! I used them on our trip to Hawaii and they kept my bag and clothes neat. I even loaned them to a friend for her trip to Europe, she loved them too! Love this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best item for Packer EVER! I bought 2 of these( 1 for my husband and 1 for me) for a 3 week safari. This was a remarkable item. It has a hard piece of plastic to help you fold your shirts/dresses to fit exactly and smoothly within its borders. When everything is folded that well, they stack neatly and wrinkle free. We managed to get our nightshirts x2, 6 shirts, 3 pants, a jacket(windbreaker), hat and any other stray stuff, into one of these. Then the sides velcro like an envelope which help one compress your clothes. it fits neatly into most suitcases and leaves so much more room for other goods. This is the single best packing item I have ever used and I use it now for every trip as I now only use carry on bags.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product with 2 flaws We just returned from a tour of Spain and Portugal. Five hotels in 11 days. The Pack-it's I bought were invaluable in keeping lightweight cotton shirts needed for the hot weather wrinkle free. I had wanted to buy a Pack-it several years ago but they weighed too much. The new lightweight fabric is great! I bought two for my husband's polo shirts and one for my shirts and dresses. After a few days, we consolidated and used one for the dirty clothes. Without the Pack-it's, keeping everything neat when moving from hotel to hotel would have been a nightmare. I only gave a 4 star rating because of two problems which I hope the manufacturer can fix. You must be very careful when packing knits or gauzy fabrics. The holes in the packing board can have rough edges. After snagging a knit shirt I took an emery board and sanded down the edges of all the holes. The second problem was more troublesome: the velcro tore one of the gauzy scarves I bought in Spain for my daughter. There is a lot of velcro on the product and it is very difficult to keep clothing away from the loops, even when the Pack-it is closed. I don't have a solution, but I hope Container Store can come up with one. In the meantime, use the product because it makes packing so much easier, but be very very careful of your delicate clothes.

Community Q&A

Weight of current compared to prior

I'm confused by ur response to the ? about the comparative weight of the small and medium pack-its compared to the ones (medium--same size as translucent or blue) I've had for many years. 5 lbs on the small and 7 lbs on the medium seem quite heavy. Is ur response based on them being fully packed w/items and not them unpacked or still empty? I love the ones I've had but when the Velcro is pulled tight the packs are kind of heavy when full.
Asked by: Likesusefulthings18
The new fabric is lighter, but there's no way it's five lbs. The descriptions says it's 50% lighter. The weight would refer to the unpacked folders.

Do the pack it folders work well for dresses and skirts?

Would the medium or small be the best choice to pack one sleeveless dress and one skirt that need to stay wrinkle free?
Asked by: cbbean
They would pack a dress up rather small with many folds but it would work.

Does the folding board come with this?

I noticed that you have folding boards listed as optional accessories, and wanted to make sure that one would come with this. Thanks.
Asked by: SpaGal
Yes the folding board does come with the folder.

Small or Medium?

Which size is more popular? is the small more for women or just based on how many shirts you can fit?
Asked by: CYinVA
The size of the folder determines how many garments it can hold. The Small Folder holds 6-8 men's dress shirts and the Medium holds 8-12.
