Good EnoughVery easy to install onto the car vent. Multiple magnets to use on the phone. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Edge S7. I have an Otterbox as a case. The magnet is affixed under the case and directly on the phone. I can only use it when my phone is positioned like a printer's "landscape," view. My car is a VW Jetta, and my car vent shape won't allow for a "portrait view." Make sure your vents allow for a good view. My phone sits lower than I'd like, hence the 3 stars. Wonderful customer service as I bought this at the store and it was missing the magnets. The Container Store customer service rep shipped me a new box.

Won't Stay PutIt could be the specific type of vent in my car but this thing adheres more to my phone that the vent. Constantly falling out and then I have to search for my phone while driving. Not very pleased with this purchase.

Prongs are too shortGood concept. I really wanted to like this product. The magnets work well and you can tuck the magnet strip on the phone side inside the cell phone case without having to use the adhesive strip. However, the prong clips that fit into the air vent are too short and the whole assembly fell out while driving when you go around a turn or curve. Also, if you have a wireless phone charger, the magnets will interfere with the charger.

This magnet device is pretty cool and strong. Maybe a little too strong where it can pull out of the a/c vent when you grab your cell phone. Overall, this is a great product.

Do Not BuyWaste of money, I love everything from the container store, so I was really disappointed when this did not work. Yes, it snaps right into the vent, but when the heat is on, and I do live in the freezing state of MA. If the vent gets too hot, the phone falls off or worse if the phone gets too hot, it turns off. I turned the vent off, but now the magnetic strips just keep falling off. :(

LOVE THIS PRODUCTIt works so well I actually bought 17 of them. Not only does it keep my phone cool but as it gets mounted on the air vent, my phone is now directly at eye level so I can truly focus on the road versus having to look up or down to see my phone.
Does the magnet have to stay on your phone case or can it be removed?

The magnet is actually only resting inside your phone case, not "stuck to" your phone, so it can easily be removed.

I have a thick phone case and don't want to remove it just to use this. Is the magnet strong enough to stick to the base even if it's between the phone and a phone case or does it have to have direct contact with the base to work properly?

Getting magnet OFF phone case
I used the sticker feature and "stuck" the magnet to my phone case. Is there any way to get the magnet off my phone case? I want to use a different phone case.
