Did not serve purpose intendedI purchased three sets of these compression cubes, and also had in my travel supplies 8 or so of the Ziploc travel bags purchased a few years ago from TCS. I had used the Ziploc bags before for trips to Washington DC and NYC in the winter managing to compress enough items for a one week stay into a carry on sized bag. But, they are not pretty so I decided to splurge on these bags for a two week trip to Utah to go skiing with my daughter so we had a lot of bulky cold weather clothing. I spent so much money on the clothes my goal was to take anything that cost greater than $100, and was new in the carry on, and we would pack toiletries, etc in the single checked bag. These bags simply didn't work. I would put three sweaters in them and they just compressed the edges leaving the center the uncompressed. We tried other types of garments such as ski pants, ski jackets- all should be highly compressible because they were filled with down or synthetic materials. Same outcome. I pulled out the Ziploc bags and they worked great. It was unbelievable how much stuff we were able to pack. The bulkier the item the better the compression. I will say I did expect and was not disappointed that a lot of the items were wrinkly. However, I hung them up and by the next morning the wrinkles were gone. All the ski clothing has synthetic material on the outside. Even our cashmere sweaters looked great the next day. Of course, some air does get back in, but once that suitcase was zipped we were good to go and I had peace of mind that our most expensive possessions were with us.

Great space savers!This is the third set of compression bags I’ve purchased. (Other two were permanently “borrowed”). Eagle Creek’s improved the zippers with greater strength and different colors of the zipper tape. That really helps so you don’t unzip the compression part if you don’t have to.

Lightweight, space-saving, and efficientAs a seasoned traveler, I prefer to travel with light weight luggage and well organized packing. The compression cubes allow me to pack more clothing for longer trips while not requiring more space or luggage. I use one Eagle Creek cube for each type of clothing. No rummaging through drawers looking for the stray sock or shirt. When I arrive at my destination I transfer the cubes to a hotel's drawer or cubby and am ensured my clothes will be kept clean. It is very easy to unpack and repack my luggage using the Eagle Creek packing system.

Telling Everyone to Buy TheseI used these for a trip to Mexico and I only wanted to take a carry-on (learning to pack light), so I saw these were on sale and bought them right away! These do not disappoint and I've been telling all my friends and family to buy them for their trips. I was able to pack my "dressy" clothes in the larger size - about 6-8 pieces, depending on the material or if I rolled the clothes or folded them. They are great if you want to organize the packs by outfits for each day of your trip too. I may purchase some for gifts!

Helpful, but limitedI used these and they keep things organized and together but I don;t think they compress that much. I had a hard time zipping them up when I filled the pack full. Okay, but not great.

Used them for years and they are awesomeI bought my first package over 10 years ago and now I have a few pairs. They last forever and work great. I like that they do not weigh anything and compress my clothes. My clothes do not get wrinkled. I separate each type of clothing in each bag (tops in one, socks in one, etc). Depending if I am not staying in hotels for more than 1 -2 nights, i just loosen each bag and use it as storage. I have given them as gifts too. Definitely recommend them!

Best purchase ever! I needed a solution for packing up my winter coat when going out of town during the winter. I completely compacts my coat into this tiny pouch. It is great! i can fit both my boys coats into 1 bag and compact it! So awesome for travel!

Didn't work like I expectedI did not find that having these bags made any difference in my ability to pack more into a smaller space. When you put extra items beyond what you would normally pack in a bag that size in order to compress them, the bags wouldn't close. They were very small bags to start with as well so not much fit in smoothly and did not compress to save much space. Maybe larger versions of these bags would deliver better results. I returned the product.

in my memorial weekend getaway I had initially packed 6 shirts and 3 camis in the larger bag. then like anyone I went shopping and came home with 4 more shirts. and 2 more tanks. when I folded them and placed them neatly in the large bag I was able to compress them and pack my luggage with no problem. given the bag felt more solid when compressed. I love these compression bags and they are well worth the money.

Near or far, Pack-Its are the way to go.I helped my family member pack for an international trip. Typically when her luggage arrives at the destination(or when she comes back home), the luggage will have security tape all over it to let us know it was inspected. This typically means they needed to get a better look at something. This time around, thanks to Eagle Creek's Pack-It systems, none of her luggage were inspected. I posit this is because of how her items were organized with these Pack-Its. This is a huge deal because we didn't even put a lock on her luggage. I would definitely recommend anything that Eagle Creek makes because they stand by their warranty and if anything fails, I can easily reach out to them!

Compression Perk is so soI purchased this set along with the normal eagle creek pack-it cubes and I prefer the original designs over this. I bought these for the compression aspect but you can't stuff as many items in these cubes to compress them. It is nice for 1 thicker jacket/sweater and maybe a thinner item but you can't pack several like I'd like.

Lightweight & Space SavingWhile the regular Pack-it Cubes are great, these compressions cubes take it to a whole new level. They are easy to fill and zip to compress. I use mine with items that I don't mind a few wrinkles in.

I've seen betterBought this and Eagle Creek Pack-It Vinyl & Mesh Compression Sacs at the same time for an upcoming trip to Iceland. I tried both on a bulky unisex medium sized Irish knit sweater and the other definitely compressed better. Pics below shows the before and after with larger bag used (sorry too inept to rotate). Would not buy this again. It was difficult to fit the sweater into this bag and I'm not so certain how useful the smaller bag would be. Would recommend the Eagle Creek Pack-It Vinyl & Mesh Compression Sacs over this.

Works better if you foldI bought these to use when flying with a carry-on suitcase to try to fit more clothes. I typically roll my clothes when I travel, and while these did compress some, I found that they were better if I folded the items I put inside them. I was able to fit the same amount of clothes in the cube folded as I was rolled, and the compression seemed to work better.

On the fenceI use and like the Eagle Creek Specter packing cubes. I have three sets of the cube sets (one set being a compression set) and use the larger full cubes for jeans and pants and the medium sized half cubes for tee shirts and underwear. I can't say I find the compression cubes to be more useful than the regular cubes. Though it does compress it down some, if you pack the regular cubes with tightly rolled clothes, I find I fit the same amount and it takes up the same amount of space. I suppose if packing a fleece jacket or bulky sweater, the compression set may be more useful for this purpose. I do use and like them, but use the regular non-compression sets more often. I travel from Israel to the US quite frequently and use the Specter cubes every time I travel.

Small!Not sure I would have purchased if I'd seen them in person. Even expanded they are small. Don't think they will actually make a difference in my packing. Too expensive for what they are -- and I got them on sale.

Great product!I have used other Eagle Creek Pack-It products for many years to organize my family's clothes when we travel. The compression set is great. I needed to bring a change of clothes to work. I was able to pack a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, socks, and a cardigan in a large bag, zip it up to compress it, and it fit in my shoulder bag. I also used the set for an overnight camping trip with my daughter. All of our clothes fit in the two bags, and we had plenty of room left in our backpacks to carry sleeping bags, food, and other gear. The bright orange color is great and the construction seems durable. I plan to buy another set. Hope it becomes available in other bright colors.

More Space in the Suitcase!The Specter Pact-It Compression set is very, very light-weight. The material reminds me of parachutes. The zippers have large tabs and are very easy to pull/open. There are two sets of zippers. One opens the bag, the second is to compress the bag after filling. So, open both sets of zippers, fill the bag with socks, underwear, t-shirts, whatever, then close the zippers- Voila! The fully open bag has about a 3” depth. Closing the compression zippers will take that size down, leaving more packing space in your suitcase!

Great purchaseI have used this pack-it product for trips on our boat. I can fit about 5 shorts and top sets in the large bag and a week's worth of underwear in the smaller bag. Since there is limited space on a boat, once I compress it, I can find most any space to store it and the clothes do not get wrinkled. I hope to add more to my collection for my husband.

I have had several pieces of Eagle Creek packing envelopes for years and have been happy with them, but they are heavy. This newer line is amazing - so lightweight! And the compression packs are a must - especially when trying to pack in a small suitcase. Get them!!!!

Valuable Packing Tool!These are the best little bags for packing because of the compression. They are great. You really have to try it to appreciate it. I highly recommend that you buy this for your next trip. I bought one pair (and will be getting another). He who packs the lightest wins.

Great for fitting things inI've been rolling my clothes for a long time to save space but these help to compress things even more. Best for smaller items or things that you can fold up small.
Do items packed in the compression system tend to get wrinkled?

I have found that if you fold your items to fit within the dimensions rather than treating these like a stuff sac they will not wrinkle very much. With that in mind I do tend to pack items like pajamas, yoga pants and socks and underwear in the compression bags and my more formal clothing in the envelopes.

How are these for going through airport security and customs when traveling abroad? Last year when I traveled to France, I was randomly chosen for my bag to be opened and inspected. They actually removed some of my clothing and felt around inside my bag, so I'm wondering how much of a hassle it would be if they opened these and they "inflated".

I have to admit, I don't have these cubes, but I have the packing folders. My husband's bag was chosen to be inspected by security. When the agent opened his bag, she was impressed how organized his bag was. She said that it helped speed up the inspection. She did not open them, but waved the wand over and under them. She also mentioned how nice it would be if everyone packed using the folder system.

The capacity of each cube varies based on the size, thickness, and type of clothing stored inside. The cube measures 14" x 10" x 3" h and the Half Cube measures 10" x 7" x 3" h.
