Rated 5 out of 5 by You'll want more than one! I have three Franklin Desk Risers. I find them very versatile for making space- either on my work table, or on top of a bureau. The design is very basic- what you put on the risers is the focus of attention, not the riser itself. March 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sturdy and Wide I have wanted a monitor riser that would fit my rather large and wide Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard for years while supporting my heavy LCD monitor without wobbling. I finally found one! March 18, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Like, but not super sturdy Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. However, it appears to bow slightly in the middle with my 21" iMac sitting on top of it. It also seems to scratch fairly easily. Those things being said, it does the job for a reasonable price. November 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very well built, very sturdy, and simplistic. Unlike the other reviewer that had issues with the rubber feet, I did not have such troubles. I can see how the feet would become shifted due sitting in packaging or being moved in transit though and one of theme was slightly off. Not a big deal for me, I just took the simplest of care with peeling off the feet and reapplying it in the correct spot. The build of these are very good, they are all metal, welded corners and folded down frame tops, with a glossy white thick paint job. Heavy sturdy and can carry at least 50 lbs of weight without even sagging under stress. Exceeded my expectations. August 5, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Does the job but not highest quality The desk riser is as expected in terms of size and general appearance but the quality isn't great. One of the selling points was the padding on the bottom - to protect the desk surface. Well the protection was cheap very small rubber like strips and they were on crooked. When I tried to remove and reapply correctly so they didn't show on the bottom of the riser, they ripped but only part way. So I had to scrub them off and use my own furniture protectors. Not a huge deal but required extra work on my part and unnecessary if they had just used better quality and applied them right in the first place. Glad I didn't pay full price for this item. Rated 4 out of 5 by Exactly what I wanted!! Fits perfectly on my desk. Works well right beside my big screen easier to see now that it is higher up. I like that I can still put other things underneath the base. And I like that it is white. Kind of wish it did come in other colors though. January 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Useful addition to my desk I wanted a shelf above my desk but I had no space on the wall because of where I had placed the bulletin boards. I was glad to find this riser and I needed it in white to match my white desk accessories--the brocade collection from the Container Store. The riser has given me more space. In particular, it has provided me space under the riser for my laptop when I am not using it. My desk is not that big so the large riser has maximized my space. July 8, 2014

Community Q&A

What weight can it support?

I'm looking into this as a monitor riser for my desk, how much weight can the shelf support?
Asked by: RachelDocler
I have an older LCD monitor Dell E2007WFP that Dell says is 14 lbs (not a boxy CRT) but it is still rather heavy. This monitor stand is sturdy, no buckling or warping when monitor is on it, no wobbling if you bump the stand. I love mine.

Are the large risers stackable?
Asked by: SAHB
I would say no, there are no non-slip feet on the legs and no notches on the top of the large riser where feet would rest inside of.

Can this be installed under a desk to hold my CPU?

Asked by: Cami1980
Sure, but that depends how low your desk is and what depth your desk has available underneath, (please use the measurements to decide accordingly).

MacBook Riser?

Can the large Franklin desk riser accommodate the size of a MacBook (either the 12" MacBook, the 13" MacBook Air, or the 13" MacBook Pro) on top of it for storage or to free up space on the desk?

The surface area of our Large Franklin Desk Riser is 24-3/8” wide x 11” deep; our Small Franklin Desk Riser is 10-3/8” wide x 11” deep.
