Does not keep leafy greens freshWe use a lot of spinach - for smoothies, entrees and sides. This looks good but the spinach was already wilting after 2 days. I kept some in the bag and put some in this container. The bag has stayed fresh. This container has not. I have other produce keepers from another brand and those do really well. It's good for a day of taking pics for a book or website...but it won't look good after 2 days. Too bad.

Wilted foodI bought a bunch of home edit products to organize my fridge. I bought 2 of these. I put small head lettuce on one side and spinach on other both were wilted due to the handle opening. The second one I put cilantro in half and parsley in other half. Parsley is pretty sturdy so it was ok but cilantro was totally limp. So I lost a bunch of good food from my CSA share because of these designs. You can probably put peppers, carrots, etc but those are fine in my crisper drawer. Would not recommend.

I like the concept but I don’t LOVE THEM.I like the idea of keeping the veggies out of water. But I don’t love it. Feels a bit flimsy but it is for storage fir the fridge. So it’s fine.

Not Dishwasher SafeI had high hopes for this product. Unfortunately it didn't keep my produce fresh and worse off I didnt notice in the copy on the website that it couldnt go in the dishwasher so it melted and is now in my garbage can. In todays world I think if something isn't dishwasherr safe it should come with a BIG sticker so you know. I would not buy this

Nope.I prewash a lot of leafy veg to have ready for my pet. I thought this would be ideal to keep a few days worth of washed veg on hand. He goes through it quickly so I only need it to be crisp for 3-4 days before I refill. The holes on the ends are far too big and after a day the veg near the ends/holes is already wilting. I now place a folded damp paper towel at each end to block the holes so that I can still use this and not waste the purchase.
It does fit and look nice in the fridge but it isn't actually useful beyond a day.

More like Produce-WILTING BinI wish I'd read the reviews before I spent more than $100 on a bunch of these refrigerator bins. As others said, my greens- fresh from the farmers' market- wilted within 2 days (compared to lasting around 10+ days in a ziplock). I buy mostly produce fresh from the farmers' market and thought investing in bins would be great both to cut down on all the wasteful ziplocks I use and to make the fridge look more organized. Now I'm still using the ziplocks, I'm just stuck putting them in the useless bins.

Does not keep produce fresh.I am sad to review that these bins do not keep spinach, lettuce or kale fresh. I usually store my greens in my salad spinner, where they keep fresh for at least a week. Because of the salad spinner's bulk, I decided to try these. Sadly, my spinach, lettuce and kale all wilted within one day. I am going to try and seal the holes and see if that changes things, but I cannot recommend these for leafy greens.

Nice Idea Not Good for ProduceSure, this looks cool. I used it for loose fresh spinach. Problem is because of the holes on the side, the spinach started wilting within a couple days. Spinach in a bag or sealed container stays fresh way, way longer. So I don't know what I'm going to use this for.

Vegetables Dry OutI bought 7 pieces from this line. As long as your food is packaged and sealed, they work fine. If you put things like lettuce, fresh herbs (Parsley & Cilantro) or other veggies, they dry out and wilt because there are large "handle" holes at each end that let the air in. I have to bag up veggies before I put them in the containers to keep them fresh- which defeats the sleek look and purpose of these containers.

Great for refrigerator organizing!Since I have been more diligent the last few months about discarding all packaging from the grocery, I have been using lots of miscellaneous glass containers, disposable plastic containers and Ziploc bags for storing my fruits and vegetables. I wanted to give these bins a try and I love them! They stack nicely and keep the fruits and veggies where I can clearly see them. I place the fruit and veggies in the bins unwashed and wash the food as I need it. The food definitely keeps longer than when stored in plastic bags. I plan to buy more containers. They are very easily hand washed.

OK but don’t put in dishwasherI received two of these yesterday and put them on the top shelf of my dishwasher which caused one drainage part and one bottom part to warp. I’m going to see if I can find something similar made of glass so that I can safely put them in the dishwasher.
Is the plastic rack in the bottom of the produce drawer removable?

Not really. I am having to purchase a new one since I didn't really read the "recommendation" to hand wash.

Will these be made to fit standard (non-counter depth) fridges?
I don't have a counter-depth fridge and I am wondering if you will be producing these types of units (all of The Home Edit fridge bins) in a more standard size?

Can these be stacked without the lid? And could these be used to store onions or potatoes in a pantry?
Asked by: kpgo
The handle part is that open to the item in the bin? If yes is that a good way to storage vegetables?
