Better than you thinkThis is a great item. It's rather large on your desktop and workbench - where I initially bought it to keep - so I wound up keeping it on the lower-level of some shelves. Which means I never bothered to reach down (Oh, my aching back!) and therefore never really used it for storage.
Flash forward to COVID and bye-bye workshop hello homeschool classroom, and as I've reorganized I've finally figured out how to get the most use out of it. First, I keep it on my now desk/worktable so it's within reach. Second, instead of just throwing odds and ends small things in there (Pens, loose screws, small tools, etc.) I put a little time in up front to organize each drawer to hold things that I need to use regularly and otherwise have time finding. In my case, I use this is for the workshop side of my life, i.e., drawing and jewelry making. Sketching materials up top. Semi-precious stones, in tray organizers, in the next few drawers. Sheets of copper and silver in the bottom one. Wish it hadn't taken me so long to figure this out, but now I'm just glad I can put it to good use.

Best Typing/Writing Desk additionI purchased this product for my typing/writing table it is so pretty as it sits there on the table . It is used for storing my writing and typing items. One of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. I’m thinking about purchasing another one.

Best Bits & Bobs OrganizerI bought this for my boyfriend, as he was struggling to keep his computer and electronics building parts organized. It works beautifully to store smaller bits in containers and is the perfect dimensions for some of the larger items that need to lay flat. In black with chrome detail, the cabinet looks elegant in classic office style.

Bisley cabinets are the theme for my life, 3 Q 201I got one of these babies--yellow--for our den. I wasn't sure I'd like it. I didn't like it--I LOVED it! I got one more and two blues! Then, I got three for my space at work along the green-blue spectrum. And, I got the cabinet that's about 2 feet tall for my den at home.
I tend to struggle with paper, mail, knick knacks, things I am working on for my professional association, things I'm doing for fun. I just need a little space, but more than a jewelry box amount of room. I also want a device that looks nice--not a plastic set of drawers. This has been perfect. Suddenly, I have a place for my printer paper, my postage stamps, my binder clips, my mail, my partner's mail, my reports, a binder for my professional association, invoices for my expense reports, photos I'm digitizing. These cabinets are a game-changer for my adulthood!

love the color and constructionusing this to store art supplies for my watercolor painting. Great that its sturdy and good size for smaller items. Was able to fit all my supplies in it with some room to spare. A bit on the expensive side but works better than the plastic kind.

Heavy Duty Small StorageI now own five of these Bisley storage units, for which I have at home and work. All other brands are just imitations which do not sustain daily use. I love that there are organizers for the drawers. As my storage needs change, I am able to update with the interior dividers. These metal units are well worth the price, as I purchased my original unit eight years ago, and I really use it. I finally purchased a color other than white this time, in yellow. The colors are gorgeous.

Going backwardsI'm very disappointed with my new 5 drawer cabinet. I have several of these in different sizes and configurations that I have purchased over many years and have really liked them for the construction and simple style.
While the exterior design has not changed the interior construction has and not for the better. The drawer supports used to be fixed. Now they are movable. I can understand why they did this. It gives them more flexibility when it comes to the shell and what size drawer will go into it but the supports don't stay in place and the tolerance on the sides is so close that if you remove a drawer getting it back in is difficult. Unfortunately if you want to add one of their divider trays you have to remove the drawer.
I will not be purchasing any more of these once wonderful (but pricey) cabinets.

Like It!Good little cabinet for what I need it for and really like the look. It fits a bunch more than originally anticipated. Some of the drawers catch on one another. I switched them around and it seemed to get better. I did end up buying organizers for some of the drawers, like it even more now.

Fantastic cabinetsI just purchased a 4 drawer. Then went back and purchased 2 of the 8 drawer unites. They are perfect for all my heavy silversmithing tools. The drawers are even deep enough for my hammers with room to spare. I lined them with some nonslip shelf liner. These are going to work better than any other cabinets I have looked at. I also purchased the divider inserts. I bought several different configurations to see which ones would work best. There are roomie and easy to use. Perfect for bits and smaller parts.

Hard to DuplicateWhile not the most inexpensive option i found difficult to get, in my opinion, this much easy to acces storage in this small of a footprint. With one cabinet my printer area was instantly tidied up and I wasn’t juggling boxes.

I tamed my junk drawerThe Bisley 5-drawer cabinet with the various sized drawer inserts holds everything in an organized way that used to be jumbled in my junk drawer; everything from a tape measure to scissors to paperclips.
I had only one problem which I solved with some glue. Three of the drawer guides kept popping out of their slots, causing the drawers to tilt downward when opened. No matter how hard I pushed them back into their slots, they continued to pop out of position.

Perfect for my Art Studio!One of these drawers fits 48-tubes of acrylic paint PERFECTLY. I love, love, love this unit. I have two of them and want to get at least one more (this time in aqua!) for my desk. So versatile! In one unit, I have each drawer corresponding to a different brand of coloured pencils/watercolour pencils, and in my other unit, I have a drawer for acrylics, a drawer for watercolour palettes, a drawer for pastels, a drawer for all my brushes, etc. I'd love to get another for my desktop for odds-and-ends and for sewing knick-knacks!
Stylish and functional, I definitely recommend!
I wish they also came in purple!

Great drawers, but...It holds a lot! Great for bead and jewelry storage.
I really like this cabinet and the design is really nice, but... I also got another one in Aqua....the Aqua one has a glossy finish, while this one in Cerulean Blue has a matte finish. You can definitely tell since they're sitting next to each other. The finish feels different too. Had I known that the finishes were so different, I would have just purchased one color. Nothing on the website indicated this.
Other than that, I really like these cabinets.

Maybe atypical use - but perfect for jewelryI admit it - I have an obession with costume jewelry and storing the items in a safe, but easily accessible manner has been a challenge. I have tried boxes, displays on counter tops, stackable trays and all have drawbacks. Being a art director by training I knew this brand for art supply storage...I have to say it has been truly PERFECT for my vast collection of earring and link bracelets. I use it on an open shelf in my dressing room and the drawers make for easy access and you can organize earring type by drawer. The one drawback is that the liners for the drawers are super expensive IMHO given their material but are key to easy use of the cabinet.

A splash of color in my officeThis perfect little drawer system is really lovely in my office. I needed something slender but with lots of storage to store my sticker and stationery collection. This was perfect. Each drawer can be labeled as well!!

Worth the splurge!!! Great organizing must have.I saw this in store and loved the white, as it is clean and matches my other closet accessories - I was worried the black would look to office-y. It was on backorder but I really liked the possibility of this item being the solution for my out-of-control makeup sample 'addiction'. I tried organizing them in drawers but it was getting to be too much and I could not see all of the items let alone organize them in an ideal manner. The drawers are deep enough to lay sample bottles and are much longer than they appear! I purchased the 6x and 4x drawer inserts as well. This was my first purchase from Container Store and I couldn't be happier. All categories of makeup samples, skincare, and haircare are organized and easily accessible. This fit perfectly on my closet shelf and is sleek and easy to use. A+

Love!!! Sturdy and very versatileI actually have the larger ones and I use them for my makeup. The drawers are nice, deep and slide easily. This is very easy to organize and I’m now purchasing this smaller size for jewelry as well as home improvement items like screws, nails etc...again you can use these for anything. They’re attractive and super handy. I’ve never had any issues with these tipping or any issues of any kind. I’d recommend these to anyone who needs to organize their life and you’d like something maybe a little less traditional. I’ve had mine for at least 5 years and they still look and act brand new. Wonderful product.

Love these cabinetsI was reorganizing my basement and I had seen these cabinets a while back. I thought they were cute, but couldn't really think of a use for them. Well, during my reorganization, I thought of one -- they are *perfect* for storing my batteries. We have lots of toys, electronics, remotes, game controllers and flameless candles that go through tons of batteries so I buy them in bulk at Costco. But storing them was kind of a pain. Now, each battery type has its own drawer, and it is SO easy to find them and keep them organized. I did have to put the ones with C and D batteries on the bottom two drawers, which was no big deal. I never thought I'd love a battery storage system so much. I got another one to store other odds and ends -- the drawers fit more than I thought they would. Pricey, but I got on a special, so the value was decent enough.

Didn't Know I'd Like a Red Metal Box This MuchWhen I saw this on sale over the holidays, I couldn't not buy it. I am a working designer/artist who's a sucker for the perfect shade of red, so this was a good match for my also red bedsheets and curtains. I'd read up on the history of Bisley, a company almost a century old now, and the design sense and quality of this drawer live up to its legacy. I LOVE the look and feel of the metal sheen, handles, and how the drawers glide, so was willing to fork over more $$ over a plastic mini drawer. My only very minor complaint is that some of the tabs that hold up the drawers slipped out at first, but it's easy to put them back in their slots and hasn't been a problem since. It's really just a great addition to a room, and I feel like it says a lot about prioritizing design by whoever uses it. The price is a bit more steep than I'd prefer but I'm glad I got it on sale, and again the history of the company probably speaks to that. The drawer organizer inserts are also a bit pricey but the design of everything is just so tight, so it's hard to complain otherwise.

I wonder why your website does not provide dimensions inside drawers, and sometimes does not even provide outside dimensions. I would have to drive 200 miles to visit a Container Store, and 200 miles back, so having dimensions would be useful.
