I purchased one Stacking File & Storage Crate to hold files. It comes with wheels (not mentioned in the description). I attached the wheels to the crate so that I could move it easily. My desk is in the kitchen area, but my files were in another room, so I purchased this item to house files that I need daily. It rolls nicely under the bottom rack in my pantry in the Kitchen - where my desk and laptop are located. I can find things easily and also keep my filing current. I can easily add another one along side it if I wish. Wow! What a find! Thank you Container Store.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by BayAreaShopper Not tall enough to hold regular file folders
The storage crate is not tall enough to hold regular file folders. I tried to put a couple of folders in and they were taller than the crate itself. It would have been impossible to stack one crate on top of the other without crushing/bending the files inside.
The Container Store was great about refunding me my money.

I'm ordering my sixth one. LOVE these. They are very sturdy and stack well. I stack them three high with wheels on the bottom and they roll easily on flooring and carpeting. Be prepared though, they are a bear to snap together, but that's why they're so sturdy. Patience and perseverance, they're worth it!

Having recently moved into a slightly smaller living space, I needed to find a small, compact file holder that would fit under my desk. Needless to say, I was thrilled to find this - not only does it fit compactly under my desk, it is on wheels, so it's very convenient to access. I also did not want to spend a large amount of money on this, since ultimately it will be put into storage, so I was also very happy with the price!

I recently purchased this because I moved into a tiny apartment and can't fit a whole lot. This thing tucks away perfectly and doesn't take up a whole lot of room. It is easy to snap together and seems quite durable. So far, I love it.

These are the best file storage, better than a cabinet. Pick them up and move wherever you want. Put wheels on them and they roll quite nicely. Like 'em, love 'em.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by MMARI Great once assembled
Love the finished product, but like others, assembly was really tricky. It took a while to get the pieces to fit together...then to get them to snap took even longer. I eventually had to sit on various sides of the box to get them locked in place!
Wish I could've bought it already assembled, but the finished product performs as advertised and seems very sturdy.

This was difficult to assemble. I finally gave the last pieces a good shove and ended up with a couple of pieces of broken plastic. Couldn't tell where they were from and it seems quite sturdy once assembled. It's handy for file storage.

I was at first a little skeptical because these seem a bit flimsy. However, I've found I use them all the time, and they hold a great amount of weight - including lots of books. These are great for multiple purposes - highly recommended as an inexpensive, sturdy storage cube.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by austintx Sturdy, but a bit hard to assemble
That's all! Once I did manage to snap it together (the pieces were just resistant to being snapped into each other), it was quite sturdy and attractive.
