Great cartI ordered this online. When I picked it up it is not in a box. The store gathers all the different pieces for you. I only needed two shelves and was able to return the 3rd, which was great. There are no instructions but assembly was pretty easy. Unfortunately I made the stupid mistake of putting the casters on 1st and couldn't get them off. I took it all back to the store and they were awesome about helping me.
Love the cart, super sturdy, great wheel motion.

Great utility cartI love this serving cart. It was difficult for me to put together- especially since it came with no assembly instructions. I had to print instructions from the website and they were pretty vague. No tools needed but brut force needed to assemble - which I don't have a lot of. Anyway, once I got it assembled I loved it. I do have 2 plastic trays and some attachments that are not pictured and have no idea how to attach them.

Are the shelves adjustable and if so, how?

Our Metro Commercial Shelves are adjustable in 1" increments. Simply position the supporting shelf sleeves appropriately for your needs and slide the shelf down the poles onto the sleeves. Adjust them at any time to adapt them to your changing needs.

Can the shelves be installed upside down?
This cart would be much more useful if the shelves could be reversed, so that there would be a lip around the edge. Is it possible to assemble it that way?

You cannot mount this product upside down because the supports will not hold the shelf in place. You may want to look into having a custom design created with the Metro Basket Shelves. The Metro Commercial Industrial 3-Shelf Serving Cart is shipped for use with wheels. To create a similar stationary solution, we suggest using three 18" x 36" Metro Commercial Chrome Shelves and four 34-1/2" Metro Commercial Chrome Posts.

How rust resistant is this cart and the one with solid shelves?
I'm thinking about using this as a potting bench. During the summer it would be under an overhang and in the winter in the garage.

While these are made from rust-resistant chrome-plated solid steel, these are not designed for outdoor use.
