What's the difference between this (SKU #10076163) and the InterMetro 6-Shelf 48" Solution (SKU #10016684)?

Two of the shelves on SKU 10016684 are solid shelves, where as all of the shelves on SKU 10076163 are our ventilated shelves.

Are the shelves optional?
I'm trying to find a unit that doesn't have low shelves due to animals, and wanting to put trash/recycling underneath. Is it possible to omit the bottom few shelves during installation?
