ok I guessThe clips do their job for the most part. Each Intermetro shelf includes 4 sleeves. The problem: Intermetro strongly sandwich ties the bag of sleeves to each shelf. It is very difficult to remove. You really need to use a sharp blade or razor to cut the tightly banded plastic tie. Be careful not to cut/damage the wire portion of the shelf too.
Also, the sleeves will reach a breaking point if you apply to much force. So be gentle with 'em.

Glade I found theseI received a shelving unit missing these connectors and looked at over 4 different stores to find them, No Luck. A friend sent me a link to the Container store and there they were. Affordable and very, very easy to install.

Best Customer ServiceI recently purchased InterMetro Shelving at a yard sale. The unit was missing the connector sleeves to put it together. I called and was helped immediately and, in addition, the rep waived the shipping cost for this product since the order total was less than what it would have cost to ship. What is the maximum temperature specification for these plastic parts?
I want to use these sleeves to construct a warming shelf below the heat lamps of a range hood. I intend to use the sleeves in 2 places, but neither is very close to the flame of the range or to the heat lamps. I would guess the worst-case temperature to be about 125 degrees F (50 centigrade) -- even on the hottest day.
