So sturdy!I have had problems in my closet with garments being too heavy and eventually causing collapse. I have this InterMetro unit in my garage and it now holds all my heaviest items of clothing with ease. Garment Rack is BEST everWe just downsized from a large house to a small 2nd-floor condo. The lower level of our building has a room for off-season clothing. This garment rack is so sturdy we can hang a whole closet full of clothes, wheel it - easily - to the elevator, down to the storage and wheel it straight in. I love that its so tall I can hang all my clothes and then stack my bins of off-season shoes on the bottom rack. A whole season packed away in one easy trip! I was worried about the price but now that I have it, it is priceless! Easy to assemble too! Quality is excellent. Sturdy and moves with ease.

The only closet you needThis product is well worth the price - easy to assemble & move, sturdy, and attractive. The canvas cover allows air to flow but keeps dust out, so no more moldy, dark closets. Especially if you live in a climate that is prone to mold.

Great extra storagePurchased this item to hold out of season clothing and have no regrets. Easy to put together, really sturdy, looks nice, holds a lot. Even used it to hide some gifts from the kids! Had a slight odor initially, but it dissipated pretty quickly--just left it open for a few days before hanging anything inside.

LOVE the Product - but the shipping...Was beyond excited to receive this item. I had had a cheap plastic one that was on its last leg. I had ordered this one after much research (I run an online vintage store out of my apartment and needed it to not only hold a ton of clothing but also wanted a cover with a zipper) and waited in anticipation.
They ship this in pieces. The thing that got to me was I had 3/4 of the parts come on one day and the rest of the parts come on the day after. This normally wouldn't be THAT huge of a problem except that I had torn apart my small bedroom (clothes stacked everywhere, etc) in order to set it up and then had to wait an extra day to put the product together.
All in all - a fantastic product! The cover has been hanging on it for about 4 days now and it still is wrinkly. I am afraid to steam it as another reviewer stated that as soon as water touched it it shrunk up and was unusable. Hope the wrinkles come out!

Great Garment RackI have owned one of these garment racks for 5 years or more and wanted another one. I keep them in my attic for off season clothes but they would look good anywhere in the house. When we were putting spray foam in the attic 2 years ago, I had to take it apart to get it out of the attic. It broke down and went back up as easy as the day I bought it. This is an expensive garment rack but well worth the money.

Perfect ClosetI wish I had found this closet before I spent all the time, money, and effort on the cheap ones I've gone through. This thing is STURDY! It is well balanced, strong, and does even more than I had hoped for. I got the extra basket shelf for my winter hats, scarves, gloves, and backpacks. Boots are on the bottom shelf. Soft coolers are on top. And all my business suits hang in between. And I put it together all by myself, which is a big deal considering I'm a 61 year old woman with no handy-person skills. Perfect!

Better than their plastic versionThe plastic version of the garment rack that The Container Store sold previously did NOT hold up well and tore after being zipped a couple of times. This version is much sturdier and holds more clothing items than the previous version did. Definitely recommended for storing clothing in small living quarters.

Thrilled with this purchaseI recently moved into a teeny tiny studio with my 3 dogs and 2 cats. Very SturdyI purchased this to replace a plastic version of a garment rack which did not stand up to the weight of my clothing. I love this garment rack. It was extremely easy to assemble. It hold a ton of clothing. I even store suitcase and a bin of off season clothing on the top of the rack. It is easy to move to vacum underneath. While it is pricey it is worth the cost.

Perfect for extra storageI have this in my basement (in a tiny row home) to store my off-season clothes. The lower and top shelves are great for storage bins and the unit is very sturdy and was easy to put together. I have a whole winter season of clothes hanging on the rod and in a few storage bins!

Solid construction: well worth it.I just temporarily downgraded to a room with no closet. Loving this. Fits a lot of clothes (especially with the addition of the Umbra® Dublet Closet Rod Expander that let me hang extra clothes below the top hanger rod) and very solidly built. The canvas cover keeps my room looking neat and from dust gathering on my clothes.

Best Purchase of the SpringI was skeptical about ordering this item because I had ordered not one, not two, but three different closet systems from three different companies. Each of my previous closets were too lightweight and started to show signs of stress as I hung my clothes into them. I finally came accross this item while shopping for other storage items online. I was drawn to the description because it boasted a high weight capacity.Well, I just picked up the item form our local store and I was amazed by the sheer weight of the disassembled system. I quickly had my husband put it together when we arrived home and I am so "thrilled with the size and weight " of the item. The canvas cover is strong and sturdy as well as the rack itself.
I would recommend this item to anyone looking for extra storage space. My winter coats have finally got a snug and secure home.I promptly donated my other closet systems and I am in the process of ordering another one for the few stragglers that did not make it into the first closet.
For a self described "coat junkie" this is a dream come true!

happy with purchaseThe garment rack/cover combo is exactly what i was looking for. It provides sturdy storage for my husband's hunting and fishing gear.
Assembly instructions were not included, but they were easily obtained online and assembly was a snap.
Online ordering made pick up super easy.
The staff, as usual, was exemplary.
My only complaint was the ill timed 10% off coupon that I received at check out that could only be used on a FUTURE purchase. I would have liked to have taken advantage of a discount on that purchase, as well.

Sturdy and HUGEI bought the 48" wardrobe, and it's amazingly sturdy. It was easy to put together and will hold lots of clothes. I actually bought an additional shelf and hanging pole and mounted in the middle of the entire rack so that I had 2 full 48" hanging poles for shirts, pants or coats - all half shelf stuff - as I didn't need the full length of 72" for long items. I'm excited to load it up and store it all away for the winter!
Can you use it without the wheels? I am putting in room with slant roof and making it 2-3’’ lower would help get closer to wall?

What is the measurement of the longest component?
I understand the product arrives in multiple boxes, but what is measurement of the longest piece? Is it 77 1/2" or is that piece assembled to 77 1/2" and hence, ships in smaller pieces?

The longest pieces are the four InterMetro posts, which are 74-1/2" long.
Stephanie and her family (husband John and kids Allie and John) are fortunate enough to have a sizable Houston basement- nearly 2000 square feet! However, the frequently used space was very unorganized and had become a dumping ground for a myriad of items. Also, Stephanie and her family suffered a terrible flood in the space recently.
