Great use of normally unused spaceI use this gift packaging door-hang on the hallway closet as a shared repository of useful things for my roommates. We use it for all sorts of tape (e.g. masking, painters, duct, etc), medicinal supplies, wrapping paper, luggage scale, party supplies, office supplies (e.g. paper clips and staplers), etc. In a house of 6 people, it's helpful to utilize as much space as possible. From the picture, you can tell someone has been rummaging through the medicine shelf.
My only complaint is that because this sandwiches the door from top-to-bottom, it requires some clearance on the floor. Ours scrapes the carpet below it and leaves marks, but because it's carpet it's not a real concert to us. I would suggest checking your door clearance with hardwood floors.

I love this!I love this! In my downsized home, every available space counts, and this fits the bill. I use these items too often to keep them under a bed. One caveat fellow shoppers... when ordering, make sure you have enough room behind the door to handle the depth. I didn't think about this in advance and was lucky that it worked out just fine. Great to remove the clutterI could not ever be without this door organizer for my gift wrapping paper, accessories, and supplies. Its a must have to clear the clutter and to get the job done much more efficiently!
How many rolls of wrapping paper in total will fit in the lower bin part?

I can fit 12 extra large rolls of wrapping paper. You could squeeze in a few more, but I like to have a little bit of space so they don’t get stuck.

Can I get this same configuration without the overdoor hook?
I would prefer not to hang it by screws and not hooked over the door. So, I like the complete package but would like a different hanging method. Is that possible?

Does the bottom somehow secure to the door or does it swing when you open/close the door?

In the solution shown here, the rack is secured to the door both at the top with an over door hook and at the base with an under door hook.
Door hooks are available in a residential size for doors up to 1-3/8" thick or a commercial size that accommodate doors up to 1-3/4" thick.

The main difference is that our elfa utility Mesh Gift Packaging Door & Wall Rack (SKU 10066224) includes an additional elfa utility Short Board Box (SKU 10060391) and an elfa utility Small Mesh Basket (10065352).
