Happy with resultWe had a Container Store designer help us design our elfa for the laundry room. After pairing down some of the extras we felt were not needed, we got a nice design done that we installed ourselves. The amount of additional storage we got from this unit was incredible. Still have more room on the shelves to fill! Looks nice, too.

Laundry RoomWe have been elfa fans for years when it came to our closets and kitchen pantry. When we moved to a new home, while the laundry room had a lot of cabinets for storage, we wanted a flat surface and a place to put dirty laundry. We purchased items to put under the cabinets which included a flat surface and drawers underneath. We were excited about the new canvas laundry drawers, but not happy with the "drooping" they have when you put clothes in them. They drag on the floor or pull out the one under it. The divided canvas drawers don't have the problem as much. There needs to be something solid in the bottom of the drawer. Overall, we are still happy.

Best Laundry Organization EverI have a small in kitchen laundry area approx. 7'w x 3' d. I custom designed the space and it's perfect. Has much more space than I had previsoulsy with ugly closed cabinets. Now I can see everything and have the great mesh pull out draws for paper towels, equipment, etc. There is so much versitality to the design. I also included a small hanging bar which has worked out perfectly. After almost a year; I still love it and am amazed at how functional it has made me. No issues, just love after a year.

It's all about the light bulbs...This is a strange title for this review, but it sums up my husband's comments about the Laundry Elfa solution. I had been looking for an organization solution for the laundry room and when I came across this setup from Elfa I knew it would be the way to go. I already have a custom office Elfa system that I absolutely love, so I waited for the annual sale and bought it. My husband had some difficulty with the pickup and the instructions were missing, but when I gave feedback to the store, the manager called me within 30 minutes to discuss the problem and apologize. Very impressive customer service! Since my husband had already installed the office Elfa, he had no problems with the Laundry room. He just printed the picture from the website and had it completed in about 3.5 hours. The storage capacity is tremendous - I moved things from the front hall closet and the junk drawer in the kitchen and still have room for more! The unit can handle quite a heavy load - several bottles of detergent and bleach as well as plastic bins of cleaners. I am able to store paper goods, bins of general items and of course, light bulbs! My husband had always complained that he could never find the right light bulb he was looking for - but now we have a drawer organized with only light bulbs in a convenient spot! He wasn't as thrilled as I was when I originally found this solution, but now it's all about the light bulbs! He now tells everyone the Elfa Laundry was his idea. Now I just have to get him to have the same idea about my closet! That's my next Elfa project. If you love organization and keeping items off the floor - there is no better solution than Elfa.

100% more storage!I increased my storage by 100% by adding a second shelf using the Elfa system. The platinum shelving matches the office shelving in the connecting office closet. The shelves are sturdy and can handle the weight of liquid detergent! Love it!

I LOVE ELFA PRODUCTSI love my Elfa solutions. I have one in almost every space I can find in my home (kitchen pantry, foyer closet, and now my laundry room). I'm a handy woman so I've been able to put everything in myself with the help of my husband putting in the top track. Container Store supplies you with EVERYTHING you need to do it yourself and detailed diagrams of your designed space and instructions. If you're not handy as myself, definitely take advantage of the installation services they provide. You won't be disappointed especially if you purchase during their annual elfa sale!!
I am interested in ordering the top portion of this laundry set up. My thought is to add it above my washer and dryer- does this make sense to add a one the units?

Wide Shelf for laundry basket?
I would like to create this unit with only hanging bar across the top and 2 shelves on the bottom but I want the shelves to be deeper than 12 inchines, they need to be deep enough to put a laundry basket on, do you have that depth shelf?
