Perfect for storage!I am super thrilled with this photo box to hold all of my loose photographs. The envelopes that come with it are helpful in separating by category as well. I love the size! I have some old school panoramas in there along with my regular pics. It holds a TON of photos so I am glad I only bought one for now. Fits perfectly on my deep built in shelves. Feeling good about my photos being protected for many years in this box. Will be back for more if I decide to print off pics more often.

Other UsesWhen going through my mother’s apartment I found a scrapbook she made of cards sent to me from birth to 17. As I’m collecting social security, it’s been a few years. The paper was disintegrating. The storage box provides archival quality environment for retaining the cards in order and associated memories.

Great Picture StoragePurchase these after going thru the closet at my mom's after she past away. She had a lotof old pictures still in photo albums that were starting to cause pictures to fade. These will work out perfect to keep them in without further fading.

Really Nice Photo BoxI really like this box! My mom got me a small fire proof safe (1.23 cu. ft.) for christmas. I have been looking for an archival photo box that would hold all my grandmothers photos, and fit in the safe. This one fits the bill perfectly. It even comes with 12 photo sleeves! (those are like $7. a pack, so really it's like the box is only $10.) Also this box is really well made. It is made with very thick board and nice metal rivets on the outside corners.

Wonderful Organization Product!I have bought at least 8 of these so far to help me organize all my photos for my family, of which there are thousandssss. They hold a ton of photos, and the envelopes help me organize them by date and event. Definitely recommend!

not as billedI purchased this because it was supposed to be good for APS photos but the envelopes for storing the photos that it comes with are for 4x6 prints rather than the wider format APS prints so I'm stuck just putting the prints in the box without being in the protective envelopes. Definitely disappointing!

Storing one or more our Archival Photo Storage Boxes in a Weathertight Tote is our most secure option. Although they're not designed to be completely submerged, the super-strong latches of our Weathertight Totes secure the lids to the bases, providing an air- and weathertight seal.

For 5" x 7" prints, we recommend our Large Archival Photo Storage Box.

Certified acid-free?
Have the containers like this one been certified as try acid-free? Has anything passed the PAT test (Photographic Activity Test) developed by the Image Permanence Institute? I am leery if purchasing so-called acid-free items without that certification, as many who claim to make such products lie or bend the truth on the matter.

How many 4 x 6 photos does this box hold compared to the large size?
I am comparing this box to the large size and don't see anything about dimensions or number of photos it will hold

Our Archival Photo Storage Box measures 7-1/2" sq. x 5" h. Each of the 12 envelopes included will hold approximately a dozen 4" x 6" photos. Each box will hold up to 36 envelopes for a total of approximately 432 photos.
