Awesome productI am a stamper (I make cards) and I use this product to store my combination stamp sets and coordinating dies. I don't have to go crazy looking through all my dies to see if I have a die that coordinates with a stamp set. I love this product!

SImple SolutionMy teenage daughter keeps 3 of these in her drawer- 1 for savings, 1 for spending and 1 for tithing. It is a great way for her to learn how to budget and save. But really the usefulness is limitless. In addition to a cash envelope system, I can see using them to organize receipts, recipes or coupons.

Perfect!!!!I'm a writer and love writing!!!! I bought this only weeks ago, to keep my stories safe and clean before I send my stories off to the publishers. I was amazed at how perfect and reliable it is. It snaps shut tight, keeps out everything, tons of room, even extra room, and just TONS of protection. I have one of each size and they are both very useful. I use the small one for recipes - a print out will fold in half and fit perfectly. I can stick it in with my cookbooks and the papers are protected. I use the large one for transporting important documents to and from work.

the uses are endlessMy history with the Container store started when my son left for college in 1996.I was so busy buying all kinds of things for his dorm room,
After he left we bought a large safe to keep important papers,
a large task after many many years. So off to the Container Storeto find something to help me and I came across these envelopes.
WOW ! these turned out to be the greatest..even though I label just about everything the fact that you can see through them was a huge plus. Birth certificates, car titles, house papers,financial information you name it...the nice part is they are all the same envelopes so everythingi looks neat and makes things easy to find...
Then I had a problem with instruction mannuals..We had a 2 drawer file that worked out pretty well for years but what a pain with manuals for small kitchen appliances that get lost in the large files..and I had to go down to the basement.. major pain..
So I bought a couple of large ones and I put lthe small kitchen appliance manuals andI keep it in the kitchen where they belong for easy reference. I also took it one step further and staple the receipt to the inside of the manual so I know where and when I bought it..there is about 4 inches between top of microwave and bottom of cabinet and it fits so well. PERFECT.!!
I do the same with manuals for DVD players and TV's only I put them with the unit so manuals are always near..
Our 2 drawer file is still used for manuals, but only for electrical tools lawnmower, snow blower etc..
now whenever I go to the Container store which is often,I usually buy a couple to keep on hand and,now have quite a stockpile of them because I'm afraid that one day I'll go and they won't have them. I hope that never happens..
Oh, btw , in all these years I've never had one tear never had one snap closure break or tear away...

Excellent Re-usable, Durable Envelopes / FilesI really like these. They are great for toting papers in your bag wo worrying if they will bend or get ruined. They are very helpful in taking work files back and forth. And you can see thru them so you always know what is inside. I have 4 big ones and 1 small one. I just wish they came in other colors so I could color code projects.

Happy at FirstI'm an undergrad student and these seemed absolutely perfect for organizing my files by class. Worked perfectly the first day, however by the end of the day I started getting that feeling of "Uh-oh these might not last.
Sure enough within one week, the seams split and rendered the envelope useless. Had 2 files and about 30 papers inside altogether.
Will be returning them and search for something more durable. Great idea, horrible quality.

Great for Travel PaperworkI use a small one of these for every trip I plan/take -- put in flight, hotel, car info, maps, directions, etc. I also put my itinerary and contact information in one on top of suitcase inside in case luggage is lost. They are clear so it is easy to see what is in them.
I also use these for keeping project paperwork together (larger ones are good for this).
These are also great for putting important papers together to "grab and go" in case of emergency.
You can use and re-use these over and over.

I found this at the store today but only found one that is clear with black grid lines all over it. I’d prefer totally clear though. The photos in this listing show it as totally clear does this come in both clear and grid or has it changed to the grid line look?

Will the larger clear envelopes fit inside the Bigso Synchronicity Stockholm Magazine Holders
I would like to use these to divide items I will be placing in the Bigso magazine holders. If I place the larger size (13"x9-1/2") sideways, will they fit?

The interior depth of our Stockholm Magazine Holders by Bigso is a hair smaller than 9-1/2", making our 9-1/2" x 11" Clear Envelope too large for use without bending. We suggest our slightly smaller Project Files or our Write-On File Jackets (both shown below).

I hesitated writing this story after coming off of a 13-hour road trip to and from our annual family beach vacation early this summer - four kids, one husband and myself, all together in one vehicle for a very long time. Everyone starts off quite giddy and chipper when the car pulls out of the driveway eager to get to lifelong friends we share the beach house with and to see the ocean waves. Despite all the togetherness that sometimes feels a little daunting before you hit the road, these road trips are actually quite priceless. They give us the opportunity to see the world a little differently and stir family conversations that can only happen when you are held captive in the space of the family roadster. It's an awesome way to create memories, fun and laughter. (I do, however, think I was the only one who was amused when I turned the GPS "voice" to Elvis when we had to take a little detour through rural Mississippi on the way back home when everyone was getting over being in the car.)
