Excellent solution for the priceI am stacking two of these mesh crates on the casters and it works well as a unit. I don't need access to the files that often so the inability to pull out the second crate without dissembling the whole thing isn't an issue at all. Once the crates had files, the unit was steady and worked well.

Crate won't stay onI just assembled the crate (only used one) on the caste base and it keeps sliding off. Despite how little files I have in I feel it should be able to lock into place no matter what. When I pull the crate it slides out of the base. How can I prevent this from happening? I really would like to consider some other method or refund at this point.

Great price and functionI bought this crate because the filing cabinets didn't fit my budget. Haven't bought wheels yet because it fits perfectly under my desk. Absolutely love how smooth the hanging files I also bought from the Container Store just glide down the track. Really excited to finally organize my genealogy research after over 10 years of using binders. I've added a photo to show how many hanging folders can fit. There is plenty of more room.

Works great--want another one!I ordered this for my large and heavy crochet binders. This puts them at my fingertips and can be rolled to any room easily. So many things I can do with this. Highly recommend.

Totally FunctionalI bought two of these as well as the casters and this is by far my best purchase to date. It fits under my desk with room to spare and the casters make it so easy to roll out my files and then store away out of sight. I would buy more if I had the room.

I'm obsessed with carts on wheelsWe first took a look at this in store before purchasing and it's held up so far - the crates don't "lock in" with any click, so it could potentially easily fall off each other, but we haven't had any problems. The wheels don't get stuck on our carpet - yay!

Good containerIts a nice container for your documents and other stuff..because its a mesh you can easily what that box for and find items..i have a tower of this for my electronics,gym stuff and document. Only cons if you need to get the item you need to remove each container one by one if its a drawer type would be nice

Pratical & PrettyMesh filing crate on wheels is perfect for my home office. Doesn't take up much space and easily accessible. Add the grey hanging folders and you have a monochromatic look that is functional and attractive.

good if not on castersI bought 2 of these along with the caster frame. they don't really fit down in the frame, so they wobble if you need to move them about. I think they need to reconsider the size and purpose of having a caster frame, but as for the file crates, I am not using them for files. there is an inside rim for hanging files to sit on, though. I needed something to hold puppy dog stuff that I could move from room to room if need be. I may see if my husband can attach the bottom crate to the frame.

Mobile productivityThese crates, along with the rolling base, are great for home office work - I stacked two crates on top of the rolling base, and use the upper file crate for higher priority files, and the lower crate for supplies and lower priority files. I can roll it easily from my desk to the family room to the kitchen - it's like having a mobile workstation, and it has helped me be much more productive.

Wish these had a lidJust purchased 3 of these. Love the look (most of the other file bins are super hideous) and love the price. Not planning to stack them, so I have no comment there. Only wish that these had a lid option. Had to (sadly) purchase an ugly plastic file bin for the items that I was worried about getting dusty/dirty.

What is the combined height of the crate + casters?
I understand that adding the heights lands you at 13 7/8" (crate 10 3/4" + casters 3 1/8"). But, it looks like the crate sits inside the caster frame a bit. I have 13 1/2" clearance and am wondering if it would fit.

It depends on the size of each file. 10 small files could take up just as much room as 5 large files.
Just make sure what you need to store fits within the 14-1/2" x 13-1/4" x 10-3/4" high dimensions.

This file box would be too large to acommodate A4 file folders. If you're storing A4-sized documents, you could use letter-sized folders with the A4 documents inside.

Can these be stacked sideways
I would like them to sit with the opening facing the side and I'd like to be able to stack them. Is that possible? Or do you have any ideas for a solution. I am trying to store 17oz paint bottles in a way that I can see them and grab them quickly.
