Well made and a nice dash of colorBought these for my office shelves, and I am quite pleased with them. They are solidly made, and the tabs that stick out add a nice dash of color to my office.

Best Bookends You Can Buy!This is exactly what I've been looking for. The bookends act as dividers to organize books into categories. The icing on the cake is that it is stylish as well!

Quite usefulI own a lot of books and was intrigued to discover this set of dividers/bookends on line and pleasantly surprised that they could be purchased at my local Container Store. I bought a single set initially and immediately fell in love. The following day, I immediately bought 2 or 3 more sets. I've had these dividers for over 5 years and have collected several more sets. They're just as strong, sturdy and colorful as the day I bought them. These become essential in organizing my home collection. They are sturdy enough as bookends, but I wouldn't say ideal. The end results makes identify subjects and a specific interest or book much simpler. The dividers have tabs on a single side, thus feel 'right-handed. Wish the were on both sides for us lefties.

Minimal Design ... Huge ImpactThese book ends are great because they are super simple yet work great and look pretty cool, I think ! You can stack them when you have less to display and they don't waste any space. They also divide magazines, books and three ring binders with the colored tabs. They perform great on a book case or table top/desktop.

A fun looking, practical productLike these. They don't have long bases or weight very much so books near the bookend need to be sturdy or otherwise they push over.

Brilliant, Useful Design Makes Grouping EasierMy kids have soooo many books, and not much room to organize them. Other bookends I purchased could not hold their own against the weight of the heavier books on the shelves, while these have been PERFECT in 3 ways: (1) the weight of each book"end" allows them to support heavier books, even on the outside! #2# 5 pieces mean you can use them in different ways, and on multiple shelves, and #3# the divider tabs allowed me to group together different types of books together, like the storybooks, the workbooks, the activity, drawing & coloring books, and reference materials. If I had more space on the shelf, and if they had textbooks, those would have been up there, also. The ONLY drawback comes while using these bookends on an open bookshelf, you need to finagle the bookends into place so you can see the tabs if you're OCD like me. Otherwise, the support of a closed shelf #2 uprights on both ends# assists with keeping the books from falling out of place while you work the bookends into lining up. THIS was the item I could not find in the office supply stores!
In Janet Lee-Ortiz's 13 years of teaching, she had never found an organization system that worked for her. But when she was preparing to move into a brand new classroom after seven years of teaching at the UCLA Community School (http://cs.gseis.ucla.edu/), she decided she was ready for a change. Janet teaches math and science at this trailblazing school, which promotes itself as breaking new ground in the ways of education.
