Travel Memory BoxesI love these boxes, for so many reasons! Years ago, I saw someone mention the idea of keeping your most precious of travel keepsakes in small boxes like these, and I thought that was a great idea! I have been blessed to travel extensively in my lifetime, and I have items that cannot be placed in a memory book, or album, but can be kept in a box like this, and then elegantly placed on a shelf, for easy access. The boxes themselves are well constructed, and I believe, tailor made for holding on to those items that remind you of a place and time, that you were blessed to experience! Looks greatI use this item for decor in my livingroom. Navy blue color is rich and perfectly matches other accent pieces. The item was mailed to me and did have a minor indent but no discoloring and is unnoticeable. I do wish that tags could be attached by consumer as it would allow tags to match up when combined with the larger box.

Good-looking, semi-functionalThis is really attractive for my offfooce and I did put a few things in it but it’s not an item I consider to be the most functional as the drawers are basically cardboard so not going to keep their shape thereby making open close kind of difficult.

These Chic Matte Boxes Are ItI discovered the Stockholm Matte Box Collection in the office section a couple years ago right when I got a Container Store in my city. Initial purchase of just two turned into 10 within the year! They have a great price point, fantastic quality, & a distinctive chic look. Size & color options are another huge plus!

Also perfect as gift box!I was looking for a gift box that allowed me to display a couple of cute baby shoes and a onesie. I needed this to surprise my partner with the news of our pregnancy!! The box is great quality and perfect color for what I needed. I couldn't find any gift boxes that suited the occasion and I'm so glad I stopped by the container store to check their stuff out! sometimes you need to think outside the square to present the perfect gift! Needless to say the surprise was just beautiful :)

inaccurate dimensions in storeI needed a container that would hold tabloid size (11" x 17") paper and bought two of the 12.25" by 17.25" boxes. These were the dimensions described on the tag. Nowhere in the store display did it have the description that it offers on the website stating that the document size box only holds legal-size paper.
These boxes are certainly not 17.25" inches long (in fact, they are not even 17" long) and do not fit tabloid size sheets.
Alas, under the assumption that The Container Store would accurately label their containers, the receipt is gone and I am the not so proud owner of two boxes I likely won't use.

Dimensions not as given on siteBoxes are sturdy and nice looking. But beware: the length and width listed on the web site is the size of THE LID. The actual dimension of the box is 12" x 16.75". Therefore, if you are trying to store 11" x 17" paper (which I am), the paper will not fit into the box and lay flat.

Great Memory Boxi bought these boxes for my daughters to keep their special mementos. They work great for photos, postcards and other small trinkets. My girls love adding to them over time and love being able to have a special way to treasure their memories. We keep it under their bed so they can easily add or look through them whenever they want.

1/4 Inch Too SmallBought the large document box 12 1/4 x 17 1/4 to store 11 x 17 documents. The 17 1/4 is the outside dimension of the box so 17 inch paper does not fit flat in the box by a very small margin. Doesn't seem to make sense that they would bother to make these shy of a 1/4 inch with which they would be much more useful.

Best Boxes EverI LOVE these boxes. They are extremely sturdy and very classy looking. I use one for important documents and one for cards/notes/ticket stubs that I want to save. I also love that they can slide right under my dresser.
Are the metal labels able to be moved to other sides of the box?
Specifically, for the document box, I would like to have the label on the short side.

Beware. I purchased both the "Bigso Stockholm Letter Box White" and the "Bigso Stockholm Document Box White" to hold ledger (11x17) paper. The dimensions listed in the description for the larger and in the prior answer above are not correct. The "Bigso Stockholm Document Box White" I received is 11.25" x 16.75 (interior) and will not hold 11x17 paper.

What happened to the Bigso "Shirt Box" ?
Wasn't entirely sure where to ask this question, but I've been mourning the loss of the Bigso "Shirt Box"... or at least I believe that's what it was called.
Now those were GREAT storage boxes that weren't restricted to only holding files and other paper related products, but were capable of storing multiple items due to their ideal dimensions.
I haven't been able to find its equal, despite having looked far and wide for far too long.
So, I guess my question is if The Container Store plans on carrying something similar in the future or, by the grace of God, decides that the Bigso Shirt Box of Sweden is worthy of a comeback ?!?!?

I'm looking for boxes for some artwork. I need them with dimensions of 17" x 21" x 4". The trouble has been the 4", I can't find anything that wide thats' only 4" tall. I'd like them to be plastic if possible, I'll take anything if its the size I need. Help!?

Unfortunately, we don't have any boxes in that size. The closest we would have would be the Grey Underbed Boxes (item # 10060726), but those measure 27" x 20" x 6" high.
