Poor Quality ControlI purchased 2 white magnetic boards and intended to place them side-by-side for my newly renovation home office. I was surprised to discover that the white finish on the boards are not consistent. Also, I noticed that the some sides are not straight. The metal wrap was cracked on one side.
I will be returning these to the store hoping that I can exchange them for boards that are consistent in finish and are better made.

Great design and functionalityI purchased one of these a few weeks ago, despite what some reviewers said was a problem mounting it and the fact I was going to hand it on a cement wall in my industrial rehabbed basement. First of all, I had no problem hanging it, using Tapcons to hang it on with the provided picture hangers already mounted on the back. The key to making it flush, I think, is having the right distance between the wall and the screws or nails you use to hang it. I also like the way this thing looks. And they way it works with either pins or magnets is a big plus.

Classy for the officeThis board is very cool, stylish, well-built, really elevates the style level in the office. I like to use it exclusively with the magnets. I know the holes are there for push pins, but even though I don't use push pins, the board looks much cooler with the holes and the black background behind them than it would if it were a sheet of smooth metal. Summing up, I couldn't be happier with this board.

not happy with how product attaches to wallI bought the long narrow version of this board and am disappointed with that it doesn't hang flush or very secure. First its about 1/2" thick of metal conformed in a box-like shape, not a thin plate. The hanging hardware are two small triangle loops screwed into the back for you to hang it on two nails -- which is sort of loose at best -- but worse, the hardware is dead across the middle. This means that any pressure on the top or bottom of the strip causes it to wobble and it naturally leans away from the top of the wall just hanging there. It is impossible to hang this vertically. I suppose if one ripped out the back hardware and applied foam tape all the way around or at least on the corners it would be secure, but that could damage the wall.

Great Bulletin Board!I bought two of these bulletin boards in silver to use at my desk at home. They are definitely worth the price. Very good quality. I like the fact that I can use both push pins and magnets on the board. These bulletin boards have made my desk area at home so much more organized and neat. Love them!

very good productWe recently purchased the magnetic bulletin board for our kitchen. It matches our stainless steel appliances nicely. I like that magnets or pushpins can be used. The only disappointment was that there were no hanging instructions and no wall mount hardware included.

So Efficient !!I bought this magnetic board when we moved to a place which has a MUCH smaller kitchen. This board has been just what we needed :I can either pin up or use magnets to organize paper notices. Particularly useful has been to add a small magnetic cup ( bought at the Container Store) in which I can store extra pens/pencils as well as a sharp pair of scissors that also stays put because of the magnetification.

Great Display BoardI bought two stainless steel boards to put on the wall in our eat in kitchen. Instead of displaying pictures and other things on our fridge we now place them in these boards. I prefer the magnetic boards to cork. It seems to hold up well and be of good quality. I used command hanging strips and they stay up well. Will probably purchase another set soon.

Great board for pins and magnets!I like having the option to use push pins or magnets when hanging things on my wall, so we purchased three of the steel version of these boards for our kitchen. We love the way they look, but wish they hung differently. The sawtooth hangers prevent the top edge from laying flat, so sometimes when I try to pin or unpin something it causes the board to move.

Perfect PurchaseI purchased this Magnetic Bulletboard along with two squares, two stripes, one rectangle board and magnets to use on all the pieces. We attached these to the inside of my kitchen closet door. It's a perfect place for our monthly calendar, appointments, business cards, grocery store lists, messages, etc. Finding more uses for it every day. Great Looking BoardI like the sleek, simple look to this board. Very classy. I wish it came with magnets that looked a little nicer (maybe white or silver? to keep it simple? I know everyone doesn't like color, butthe grey is ugly), I had to spend extra to get magnets that looked better, but the board works great, has strong sawtooth hangers on the back and is perfect for over my desk. All things considered, I would buy this again!

Is it possible to mount these "bulletboards" with command strips since I cannot nail anything into my office walls?

I used command strips (one towards each corner) and they worked fine. Command strips are rated at 16 pounds. This board is just under 3.5 pounds. So even if you loaded it up, it will still be way under the weight that command strips can handle.

Yes, our Magnetic Bulletboard Strip by Umbra can be mounted in either the horizontal or vertical orientation. However, to hang the strip vertically, one of the pre-attached sawtooth hangers would need to be repositioned.
