Wolf in sheep's clothing"Modular" leaves the impression that these are designed and built to fit together but these don't at all. I bought all of the units shown in the picture, but the sizing is so irregular that each level ends up a different width than the others. And they stack "securely" together because of dollar-store rubber bumpers on the bottom of the pieces (which were already coming off when they were delivered)...very high quality. I don't mind spending extra money for quality products, but this was absolutely not worth the $100+ I paid for the set and makes me feel taken advantage of because they were so poorly thought-out and constructed. Like the Clueless line, these are full-on Monet...once you see them up close you'll realize they're a big mess. I'm honestly shocked and disappointed because Container Store used to be my go-to home organizing store, but over the past 6 months I've had numerous issues with their products and customer service. These will be returned.

Nothing lines upI was so excited to organize my embroidery supplies with this Luxe system. I ordered a few drawers and a few inserts. Not one of the components has the edges lined up properly and two of the drawers don’t even close flush. I was willing to spend more on a quality product, but the construction of these is so far below a cheap set I got online for $60 less. I would return but with the lockdown, it took almost two months for me to receive these in the first place so I’d rather not deal with a return process. Super disappointed.

Can’t open drawersI bought this product to store nail polish and other various nail care and makeup products. The drawers are difficult and awkward to open when stacked. Currently one of my drawers is stuck shut and I’m unable to even open. Disappointed because the size was perfect!

A Total Game Changer for my cosmetic organizationI have owned three levels and the top section for a couple years and truly love this product. Recently I decided to add one more section as we were having a malfunction with the cotton squares and Q-tips and I couldn’t take it any longer. After a couple hours sorting and cleaning everything I have it in order. Personally I use a section for all -makeup brushes,- make up & powder & blush,- eye shadows, -night creams & eye creams & misc face lotions. And now the new containers for Q-tip and cotton squares. The top section has lip sticks & glosses plus all lip liners and eye liners and mascaras.

Good, but not perfectI love how the products stack on each other, however with time it seems my bottom piece, which is the large drawer, is caving in a little and has some issues opening and closing completely. Besides that I really enjoy these products as they allow you to customize your storage very easily.

The BEST Cosmetic OrganizerI finally bit the bullet & purchased three different items from this Luxe Acrylic Modular Makeup System, & I could not be happier. This system is absolutely perfect for my needs. I bought one of the "Large Luxe Acrylic Makeup Organizer", & two of the "Medium Short Luxe Acrylic Modular Drawers". I have the two drawers positioned underneath the larger organizer, & everything I use on a daily basis is within easy reach, & beautifully displayed. One of the best parts is, if in the future I need to expand my storage, I can easily do so with the variety of options available.
Listen, I know this system may seem pricey, but you absolutely get the best bang-for-your-buck with these items. If you are looking for, not only superb modular cosmetic/skin care storage, but something you will also enjoy looking at, that is well-crafted, then this is the organizer system for you!

Too difficult to openThe teeny handles are impossible to grab, so opening the drawers is impossible. The only way to grab the handles is to pinch then sideways between the thumb and forefinger, and both hands must be used. It is a very awkward position to hold the two hands so close. Also cannot be done by arthritic hands. Additionally, the drawer does not slide easily, that is, the drawer drags and sticks to its case. The acrylic is nice, but I need to work swiftly when I'm preparing myself for the day, and my intended use was for cosmetics. Actually I wouldn't use these for anything because of the difficulty opening.

Perfect for Skincare JunkiesI purchased this in conjunction with the luxe acrylic drawer and have been very happy with the product. It holds all my lotions and face creams and so much more. Feels sturdy. I also like the fact that it’s clear and you can see the smaller bottles without question.

Love these!I bought 2 of these drawers to put some of my makeup in. Long story short, they are awesome! I went back to the store and bought 4 more. I stacked 3 inside shelves. They have nonskid buttons so they don't slide. Everything is visible and organized. Only complaint, the handles are small and so are somewhat difficult to grip. I leave the drawers slightly ajar making it easier to open.

Holds a VacuumThese are very nice drawers and slide well. However, when you open and close them you can hear a whistling noise from the air being pushed in and out, because they are so tightly constructed. I can deal with that small annoyance. However, the largest one actually seems to hold a vacuum when it is completely closed for a while. Then, it is almost impossible to open without prying something flat in there between the drawer and outer box to get some leverage so that you can pull hard enough to break the vacuum. I drilled two holes in the back of the box, and so far, this seems to help. Manufacturer might want to re-think the design.

Functional - No regretOrdered online. My only regret with this purchase is that I didn’t get it sooner. I utilize every component and it’s no longer wasting time tracking the necessities. I have everything I need to start my day ready to go so I’m on my way quickly. I even put my rings and glasses in a drawer component so it’s easy to get ready. My unit fits perfect and looks great. It’s all I need but there are options for whatever space you have. This kit fit!

Painfully squeakyOkay, so YouTube gurus got me again. I needed storage for my insane skincare collection and these drawers are all over the internet looking gorgeous and convenient. I purchased a huge set of them- mostly the XL and L ones, but also a few mediums, unwrapped them, and set them up. So pretty. I opened and closed one and the shrill squeaking noise it emitted was a little concerning. I thought maybe once I filled it the noise would stop. WRONG. I thought maybe it was just that drawer. WRONG. I eventually figured out that they're so well-made that they're basically air-tight. The high-pitched, mind-numbing noise comes from the air in the back of the drawers being forced out from whatever tiny spaces it can find on the inside of the container. I think the only way to fix it would be to drill a few holes in the back of each box, and not only does acrylic crack easily, for the price of these items I shouldn't need to do any extra work. My roommate heard the noises from all the way across the house and came in complaining that she would never be able to live with it. I agreed, and sadly had to return the entire set. BTW, I checked with a friend who has these drawers, and she said that the same thing happens with her, she just chooses to live with it, but regrets buying them.
I switched them out for the way cheaper and less sturdy shoe and sweater boxes, which are noise-free and work just fine for what I need them for. They're not beautiful, but they get the job done and won't require me to wear ear plugs.

Love!I love this! I have a ton of makeup that was slowly starting to take up my whole counter top, my husband was sick of seeing it laying all over. Love that I can now sort my makeup by what I use and make my morning routine easier by knowing where everything is at, it a wonderful.

Love my organizerI usually don't comment on products, but I just had to give my opinion. I love my makeup organizer. They are deep and wide enough for all my makeup collection. I had no idea the Container Store sold organizers. I just happened to look on line and saw exactly what I've been looking for. I drove straight to The Container Store and bought exactly what I needed. I'm very happy with my organizers.

How high can these safely stack?
The images seem to show a maximum of three rows and the top tray/organizer. Is is possible to stack higher than 3 plus the top tray and if so what is the limit? Thanks! :)

I have stacked 4 drawers, plus the top tray, on my bathroom vanity, and would stack more if I had the space! The stack is very solid and the drawers never more around, owing to the silicone feet under each drawer.

My daughter uses this and LOVES it!! I have added to her collection over time as her makeup assortment grows. They are constantly adding new styles and since this totally modular it is easy to tweak your creation! I would also recommend getting some acrylic cleaner. It's made by Novus and The Container Store sells a 3 pack for $10.

The thickness is about 1/8th of an inch. I have the large drawer box and when I place heavy lotion bottles on top, it bows soooo slightly, but not enough to actually notice or cause any damage at all.

It would depend on how big the perfume bottle is? I used it for nail polish and my "No No". It held all my items easily with room to spare

Does base have to be wide drawer?
I see in all the images the base is the wide drawer. Would it be ok to stack however I prefer? For example I would like to use the two tall half drawers instead.

How do these 'stack' ?
Do they clip on together or do you just put them on top of each other? Would the trays slide out of place?
I noticed that the measurements aren't quite the same, are the 1/4" - 1/2" gaps noticeable?

They have little rubber bumpers on the bottom that allow them to stay in place. Mine have not moved since I placed them. Also, I haven't noticed any issue with gaps between different size pieces.
