I love this stuff! Such a great wool/cashmere cleanser! Makes hand washing your garments at home so easy. Has a light cedar and lavender scent that smells good and deters bugs too!

Great gentle laundry wash for woolensI love this stuff - it's great for hand or machine-washing woolens, even the items labeled "Dry clean only." I followed The Laundress' instructions for washing a wool overcoat in a washing machine using this shampoo, and it came out amazing. Much cheaper than dry cleaning!

Better than wooliteSmells better and is soapier than woolite. A little goes a long way with this- I believe these laundress products are the best for hard water which leaves residue on clothes and causes detergents not to soap up. This gets soapy without an additional water softener additive. The only problem is I am not sure what the difference is between the cashmere soap and the regular- not sure you need a separate bottle just for sweaters.

Much better than dry cleaningI wash all my "dry clean only" wool blend skirts, pants and sweaters using this shampoo. I was hesitant at first but this works and it's such a better alternative to dry cleaning. I use a front loading washer with a wool cycle(it's really just a delicate cycle with cold wash and cold rinse). They wash for about 30 minutes and then I hang everything up to air dry. The pants usually need a good steam iron to get the wrinkles out but they smell clean and without the harsh chemicals of dry cleaning. There is no shrinking at all and again, so much better than dry cleaning. I use the delicate shampoo too for undergarments and it works great too.
I have a wonderful standard washer with a ton of cycle choices. However, it’s not high efficiency or even a front load. Some laundry items seem to be made for high efficiency machines only. Will this work just as well in my standard washer?

Yes, our products by The Laundress are wonderfully effective when used in standard or HE washers. They're equally suitable for hand washing, too.
For the Wool & Cashmere Shampoo in particular, for a non-HE machine (standard machines) using the woolens cycle, it is recommended that 8 capfuls or 1/4 cup (60 ml or 2 oz.) be used for each load. Used as directed in a standard machine, each 16 oz. bottle yields 8 loads of wash.
