I live in an NYC rental apartment. Can this be installed in a rental unit? Does it involve drilling/screwing or more just building something that slides and putting it in the cabinet? Thanks

The Easy Mount installation method includes a bracket that screws to the back of the cabinet with two screws (included). Two extra screws are included if the customer would like to add them to the front of the bracket base for additional support, but this is optional, not required.

How much height is needed when spice jars are in it?
It says the dimensions are 9" tall but how tall does the cabinet space need to be when spices are in the top rack. Standard size spice bottles.

The top shelf is 7 1/4" from the base so a 4" tall spice rack bottle would be a maximum of 11 1/4" inches tall.

No, while the exact spice bottles used in the photo of our Professional Double Spice Racks by Lynk are not currently available at The Container Store, our 3 oz. Glass Spice Bottles are very good substitutions.

How long is the track the rack slides into?

The rails/slides that the rack rols on are the same length as the spice rack which I believe is listed at 10 5/8 inches- a hair over 10.5"

How high above the cabinet shelf does the rack itself sit?
There is a 1/4? lip on the front of my cabinet. Will the rack clear it when it?s pulled out?

Yes, it should be fine. Our Double Spice Rack sits 1? above the cabinet base or shelf. This measurement is from the cabinet base to the bottom of the first slide out.
