Sturdy Classic Spice RackI just love this spice rack - I actually bought two. It is a classic design that will complement most kitchens. It is sturdy and fits standard size spice jars. I was the second person to return it that dayI had to return this. It looks nice and simple. But that's the problem. It needs feet. It's top heavy. It does not fit all spice containers. The person that returned one before me wanted to mount it but found that difficult.

Great, except for the support piecesOverall, this is great. It's sturdy. Can be on the counter or hung. If you have taller bottles, they can go on top.
My only issue with it is that the flat support pieces that run under the bottles don't line up right, so the bottles tip forward slightly. I ended up propping the bottles on the front part of the shelf, so they tip backward. It works, but is annoying.

Perfect Spice RackThis spice rack is exactly what I was looking for. One that doesn't come with glass jars because honestly, who really wants to fill those up each time? It's easier to just buy the plastic ones from the store. This rack fits 27 store bought spices perfectly or if you have some of the smaller spices, you can stack two to fit more. It is very sleek and modern and with limited cabinet space, this fits and looks nice on my counter.

Useful though questionable designBought this to hold various spice bottles in the kitchen and not absolutely sure I'd recommend them (but don't have the option to say maybe). Really like this collection, but this particular item has several issues. Needs to have more space between the shelves to hold more standard size spice bottles (those purchased directly from a grocery store). Also did not come with screws and had difficulty finding a fastener to install them. Ended up using large square mirror clips which fit around the railing to hold them to the wall. Look good in the kitchen and hold certain sizes of my regular spice bottles.

Alternate useI bought this to be used as perfume rack. I'm glad I bought it in store. The welds caused some to be shakey and not lay quite flat. I found three out of seven acceptable.
It is expensive in my opinion, but it's exactly what I wanted. Sturdy, modern, clean lines and great dimensions. I will need to buy another because it just right for what I need. I like that I may be able to wall mount, when I'm no longer renting.

Just what I neededI had purchased a rotating spice rack from another store that was lovely, but took up a lot of counter space. The CS rectangular spice rack is great for my counter. It sits snug to the wall & doesn't really take up a lot of room. Even buying the spice jars to fit the rack was less than half what I paid for the other rack!

Real sturdyPurchased for a client. Ready to install only to find out it didn't come with any hardware. The holes are so tiny, you would have to use tiny nails cause screw heads are too thick to fit in the pre drilled holes in the back. After having to make a trip to the store to purchase double sided indoor/outdoor tape along with picture frame hooks, I was ready to install. It's so heavy (made of iron), I had to use something that would hold it up.

Great option for spices in a small space!This spice rack was perfect for our tiny kitchen (even though we have lots of spices!) It fits nicely against our backsplash on the counter, and displays the spices in gorgeous clear bottles. I would recommend the chrome bottle lids, because they feel sturdy and look super cute. I am working on labeling the bottles, but all in all, I love this spice rack! Staying organized and making it look pretty in the process - what could be better?

Great spice organizerFits snug against the wall taking up very little space. And its great to just throw your spices on without having to transfer to clear bottles. Yes, you can only use the top shelf for larger bottles but the bottom two fit medium and small bottles so you get enough of a variety that you can keep most of the commonly used spices out and handy. This is just what I needed.

simple but great look and designAs other reviewers have said this is a good rack where I don't have to bother pouring all my spices into generic containers, and most store bought containers easily fit. The open top rack is where I keep the ones that are slightly too tall for the others. The rack itself looks streamlined with a simple yet attractive color/design to it, it's just heavier than it looks. Even the cashier commented on this, but since I don't carry my spice rack around with me that's not really a problem, just a note. This rack will probably last me the rest of my life!

Good size, pour quality controlWe like the spice rack and kept it. It's a perfect fit for our small NY kitchen. However, one of the solders had broken during shipping, and the ribs were slightly bowed. I needed to unpack, so I pushed the bows back in place and applied a little "Goop" to the broken solder point and.

Very happy with my new spice rack!I purchased this so I could *stop* having to pour purchased spices into other bottles, just to have them all match, and fit them in a custom rack. This rack successfully holds spice bottles of several brands (whose jars aren't quite the same size as each other), including Penzey's, Simply Organic, Frontier, McCormick (standard jars; the oversized jars are a little too wide to sit in the channels, and too tall for the bottom and middle shelves, but they fit on the top shelf), Spice Hunter, and more. I wish this spice rack came in other widths, I'd gladly buy a narrower one to stash on the other side of the stove, too!

Will not fit many sized spicesI was so excited to FINALLY find a product that would hold the vast assortment of spices that I have in all different sized and shaped bottles. THIS IS NOT THAT PRODUCT!!!
It holds the same standard sizes that any other spice organizer holds. I have no intention of pouring my spices out of the packages they come in, into another container just so it will fit the rack. Why can't manufacturers make a rack that fits reality?

Great Spice RacksI purchased these spice racks to free up space in my cabinets. I like that they fit standard spice jars. My only criticism is that they didn't come with their own hardware and the holes in the back are much too small to fit over the head of a screw.

Perfect size for most used spicesThis rack was exactly what I had been hunting for - it was slim enough to fit along a wall that a door opens up to, but still big enough to hold the 12-14 most commonly used spices in our house.
The design is sleek and no-nonsense so should match any modern decor.
Very sturdy tubular steel, easy to hang with two screws (can use mollys as needed).
Will this sit on the counter and be stable without being attached to the wall?

How did you mount this on the wall?
I love this rack and want to hang it over the stove. But it didn't come with any hanging hardware and the pre-drilled holes are too tiny for standard fasteners!!

I mounted using two small screws in the notches included on the back of the top support cross bar. I put the screws into the wall using anchors and left the screws slightly proud and then the rack slips down over the heads of the screws. The slots are a little small but worked.

How durable is this shelf?
How much weight can it hold? I saw a couple of reviews on poor welds. I need a sturdy shelf.

The shelf is made of metal and welded seams make it seem very durable in the intended application. I don't imagine that in a lifetime of use as a spice rack you would wear one out.

How wide and how tall are the shelves, I have Lenox jars that are 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 square, will they fit?

The shelves are 13.5 x 4.5 and the top one is obviously taller. All of my spices except the McCormick Gourmet ones (which are 4.5 inches tall) fit on any shelf and those taller ones fit fine on the top shelf.

Does anyone know how many large Penzey's spice bottles this rack would hold?

Penzey's large spice bottles are 2-7/8" in diameter, 3" in diameter with the lid, so our Iron Spice Rack would accommodate a total of 9 Penzey's large spice bottles - maybe 12 if your lucky!
