The Marie Kondo Ceramic Fridge Bins are sustainably sourced and assembled in China. The Ceramic Refrigerator Bins are made of 100% ceramic. The Bamboo Bin Lids are made of 86% Bamboo and 14% Silicone. They are microwaveable but we recommend handwashing.

Can I use these containers for all types of leftovers, e.g. spaghetti, soup, chili etc?

Yes. We do not recommend using it in place of tupperwear type leftover containers to take on the go- the lids are seal-proof but do not "latch" fully on like a tupperwear container would. But these can be used to store in the refrigerator.

Does this bamboo lid have to be oiled periodically so as not to get ash color after washing multiple times?

Our suggestion for bamboo care is to se a soft-bristled scrub brush and warm soapy water to gently scrub the bamboo pieces, and then rinse with a damp sponge. Oversaturating could cause the bamboo to swell, so be conservative with the water and make sure it's thoroughly dried. Mineral oils are also great - they will feed the bamboo and help protect it from drying out and splitting or cracking.
