Warped WoodI love the look of this small shelf. However, when I removed it from the box and set it up, I discovered the wood was warped. It's not a major warping, but it's definitely not flat. Unfortunately, I live a reasonably long drive from the Container Store and was in no mood to drive all the way back there for an exchange so I'm living with a defective product.

Broke immediatelyI bought this in the store, so you could say I brought this on myself, but it looked very nice while standing. The cashier folded it down and I thought "oh wow it can be folded away, so great!". I normally love products I get at the container store, and I expected to love this. However, when I brought it home and tried setting it back up (having read the instructions on how to open it), one of the legs just flew right off, with the screw just breaking out of the board. Seeing the reviews now, I see it happened to others as well. Wish I had looked here before buying.

great overall product, but has flaw .I like the bamboo shelves, but the mounts for the legs are cheaply made and very flimsy. they bend when you open the legs. . This makes shelf unstable. I kept product and replaced mounts with bracket as I needed the shelves.

Lower cabinet shelvesIn lieu of pullouts, I opted for these. They are pretty sturdy and do the job as I expected. The bamboo color are close to the maple interior cabinets, so I am pleased that they worked for me. I used these in all three sizes for my lower cabinets and was able to organize and access everything so much better :)

Excellent!I now have four of these shelves. I use them to hold my many tea tins and cups. They look good, but more importantly, they're extremely sturdy so I never have to worry about them collapsing unless I do it. Another thing I like is that I started with two, then bought two more at different times, yet the tops are exactly even and look very good and coordinated.

Love thisI got two shelves to replace a soft plastic shelf which had warped . The shelf is very sturdy and high enough so things fit under it . Having a groove in the shelf to stack another shelf on it is a good idea to prevent slipping. I'm using this to store boxes and bags of non-perishable food. They were on sale, which made them even better. I recommend this product .

I sort of like themOkay, so theoretically these should be perfect, except the legs are attached in different spots on the two shelves on different occasions and the stacking grooves are in complete different spots too. I am not sure how well stacking will work now, and that is the reason I got them. One will not even fit into the other! Both may be going back next month when I make the 2+ hour trip to Little Rock.
However the bamboo feels sturdy, and over all they seem sturdy and will hold quite a bit. Just not sure how well they will stack because of the issues.

Great concept, BUT........Purchased 2 of these to put in a large cabinet over my refrigerator in our new home. As I attempted to open the feet of the shelf the plate holding the feet popped off and the screws flew off across the room.
My husband and I drove 1 hr 15 minutes to the store and we are not driving that distance again to return it. We are requesting a refund, a new one to be sent to us or a mailer to return this one.

Just what my kitchen neededI bought several of these shelves for a large open cabinet in my kitchen. They look great and add just the right touch to my very small kitchen. The bamboo mixed with the chrome looks really sharp. The color of the bamboo is also beautiful giving it a higher end look.

Flimsy and Cheap-LookingThough they look nice in the picture, these shelves are cheap-looking and flimsy. They are not stable and fall over easily. I bought them as a gift for my mother-in-law and was very embarrassed by the poor quality. There were no reviews on this at the time that I purchased.

Beautiful Addition to My Custom CabinetsI recently went through a major kitchen renovation including custom cabinets. As I started to put things away, I didn't want to create the same mess that we had in the old cabinets - I needed an extra shelf and I didn't want the cabinet makers to add anything because I wanted the fix to be flexible.
I went over to the Container Store and grabbed one of these bamboo shelves because of the high-quality - they are sturdy and the bamboo shelf allows for small items to stay still (as opposed to the metal shelves).
I have not stacked, so I can't review that function, but I have purchased a second one for another cabinet because they look great and enhance rather than muddy my beautiful new custom cabinets.

Customer service made my day!The stacking shelves are perfect. But the most important and best experience is with customer service. I ordered 2 lazy-susan / turntables for my lower cabinets, I knew the time of my UPS drop and had my kitchen in total disarray, waiting for my delivery On arrival I discovered, that in shipping, both had been damaged. I was so disappointed, I called customer service and was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service I received. I'm now spinning and stacking in my newly organized cabinets and will always use "The Container Store" when the need arises to organize another corner of my home.

Just what I needed!The stacking shelves are great. I have large lower cabinets without any shelves, which means lots of wasted space. These shelves are sturdy enough for heavier items without sagging and provide all of the extra space i need. Also great that they come in different sizes fo more custom organization!

Great for making more desk spaceI purchased these because I needed to access more surface area on my desk, so I wanted to go with vertical storage. These do what I need and they look great! And the medium gingham storage bins fit perfectly underneath them so I don't have to see all the clutter!

How do you pull open the legs?
Instructions say "gently" pull, but the legs seem not to want to fold up. When I pull more, I'm bending the metal.

What is the weight capacity?

Don't have the specs, but these will hold a reasonable amount of weight. Noticed Reviewers have used these shelves for all kinds of storage. Might be helpful if you will read reviews and look at the many photos of shelves in many different storage situations. They are quite sturdy. The Container Store has had these for at least 6 years. That speaks volumes about the quality and sturdiness.

Storage Height?
How much clearance is there underneath each shelf, i.e., what's the tallest item that will fit underneath?

For the smallest size shelf, there is 5 3/4" clearance. For the Medium size shelf there is 8 1/4" clearance, and for the Largest shelf, there is 7 3/4" clearance. We hope this information helps.

Do the legs lock in place
They look as though they would wobble since the legs can fold in when not in use.

The legs have a pressure 'lock' when opened and stays in place quite well.
