Sturdy enough to sit on!!!!I bought these crates specifically to make a book bench in our living room for! I love them! They are so strong and sturdy, that not only can my kids enjoy the book bench, but so can I! We zip-tied three bins together and then I made a cushion for the top and use bins in each crate to store the books! Way better quality, strength and price, in comparison to other corporate store crates!!!!

Super handy!Love these crates. I have a lot of them and keep coming back for more. They are sturdy and can be configured into almost anything - bookshelves, bathroom or kitchen storage, hobby/sports/toy holders. Can even be used to support a tabletop, desk or shelves in a pinch. They keep things organized and neat. I move frequently for work and love how you just pick these up and go. Use cable ties to bind two or more together for greater stability. The black ones are low profile and look a little less "college dorm" which I like. These are commercial grade and not the flimsy imitations you find at discount stores.

Great for Organizing Your Trunk and Other ThingsI used these crates for many things when I taught: bookshelves, organizing folders by the writing groups with whom I met based on Days of the Week - Red for Monday, Orange for Tuesday, Yellow for Wednesday, Green for Thursday, Blue for Friday), or by subject matter - Blue for Math, Green for Science, Yellow for Writing.
Now, I'm using them to organize my trunk. I have shopping bags in one crate, weather-related items (boots, gloves & hat, ice scraper, windshield-cover for winter) in another, and car-specific items in another.
Plus, they keep a larger tub in which I haul my Norwex Anti Bac Microfiber, Products, firmly in place the far reaches of my trunk.

Love "milk" crates and especially the color choiceI had a few of these "milk" crates, as I call them for storage purposes. When I returned to the classroom recently to teach, I looked for some locally but had no success. I am so glad to have found these crates! I especially loved the fact I could get one in yellow and one in blue, my school's colors. They are sturdy and can be used for many different purposes.

Great ProductI used these for my classroom library. I bought the white crates and my husband attached them to white 2x8 boards. The crates store featured books and stuffed animals. The shelves store over 20 baskets of books. The crates are very sturdy. I could not be more happy with this product! :)

The Real Deal!I've had an old dairy crate that's been used for numerous tasks since it was handed down to me in the late 1980s. Fast forward to 2013 and the crate is finally beginning to crack and split in places. When I heard about The Container Store's crates, I was skeptical... but in need of a crate so figured I'd give it a shot. SO GLAD I DID! As they say, these are the real deal; next time they go on sale I plan to stock up!

happy with my purchasei got two crates for my kid's toys. they are very sturdy and stack well too. i was pleasantly surprised that these crates can hold a lot of small toys like train parts, and duplo legos. they fit perfect under our train table. my kids can lift and carry with ease.

Life saver: and under $10!!!!I first bought these for my son's playroom to organize toys/books/balls/action figures. Unlike other toy chests and the adorable animal toy sacks also sold at the container store (we also have these for big items like stuffed animals), you can actually see the contents! So if searching for a particular toy, you can visually select it and do not have to dump multiple toy chests or sacks to search for coveted item. They are bright and stack together vertically in a column and look very modern. In our small home they save so much space-I also look for storage options that utilize upward space. I loved them so much that I have bought them for myself (the bright colors are so cheery and add a splash of happiness to our grey, walls and furniture). I store folded sweaters and other folded clothes in mine. We also have a few in the living room to organize cable boxes and dvds. Who ever thought a milk crate could be so hip! You cannot beat under $10 for a life solution to clutter and time saving organization.

Book SaverWe needed something to hold all of my daughter's books. I knew The Container Store would have something that would be able to do the trick. We don't have an actual store in Michigan, but I love all of their products.

best storage everI LOVE these crates. They look funky, the stack well, they can be used for anything and they can be used out of sight or as part of your deco. If you are a bit of an organizational freak like me, use different colors to color code what is in which crate. I ordered 8 of them, and could have ordered more!

Wonderful AssetWhat can I say, it's a milk crate. However, these are very well made, sturdy and as durable or maybe more so than the original. I use them for storing my video cables both in the warehouse and on the job site. Different colors for different cables. They work great. A couple of 2x4s and casters and you can make a wheeled base to hold stacks of them in your garage. Excellent purchase.
