Are these stainless steel?
If they are n ot stainless, won't they rust with age?
Are they lacquered? With what? Will the finish wear off?

The Silver Stacking Mesh Bins are made from steel mesh with an epoxy coating. We recommend to not store in direct contact with moisture.

Which bin would 5 lbs of potatoes fit the best?
I am getting this bin to store potatoes in my bottom cabinet. I need it to fit at least 5 lbs of Russet Potatoes. I was going to get the Extra Large but it may be too long at 17 1/4 inches. Would the Large be large enough or would the medium be too small for 5 lbs of potatoes? I'd appreciate any input I could get. Thanks.

For the average 5 pound bag of Russet (or similar) potatoes, we would recommend our Large Stacking Mesh Bin (SKU # 10075863).
With exterior dimensions of 15-3/4" x 10-1/4" x 7" high, it's capacity is generous without being excessive.

What is recommended a) weight limit for each bin, and b) number of bins (same size) one should stack? Thx!

Our Silver Stacking Mesh Bins have a maximum weight capacity 10 pounds each (regardless of size) and may be stacked up to three or four units high.
