Curious to know about the diameter of these straws. Are they suitable for smoothies and thicker drinks?

Our Stainless Steel Straws are 8-1/2” long and 5/16" diameter, ideal for cold drinks, fruit smoothies and dinner party cocktails. They're dishwasher-safe, 304 (18/8) stainless steel, and BPA-, phthalate- and lead-free.
