This bowl needs odor eaters!
This bowl is 5 star awesome! Fits perfectly into my work bag, very easy to clean out, love the vent feature on top of lid, heats up food evenly, and it collapses! I couldn't give it 5 stars, however, due to the odor issue. Whatever food is packed in the bowl will seep through and is forever embedded in the bowl! I pack my lunch in the bowl everyday with all sorts of meals and wash it after I am done. No matter how many times i wash it, the food odor DOES NOT WASH OUT! I've tried soaking in in hot water, with bleach, with vinegar. NOTHING washes out the odor and it stinks up whatever i put the bowl in. In the drawer, in a room, in a bag, it stinks it up. It would be nice to find a solution to this because i like this bowl ALOT. I wanted to give it 5 stars but its 3 stars for me.

Perfect for lunch on-the-go
I love the versatility. I hate microwaving plastic, but it's so heavy and impractical to transport food in ceramic or glass. This lightweight and well-sealed silicone container can go in the oven, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. I can eat right out of the container, so less dishes. Plus, it folds down, so it takes less space in my tiny kitchen, and in my bag when I'm done with lunch. I regret not finding this product sooner. Now TCS needs to stock a lunch tote that is sized for this container.

No more Styrofoam or plastic
I avoid using plastic or Styrofoam whenever possible and I wanted something for left overs when dining out. I got the 8" round and store it in my car so it's a visible reminder to take it into restaurants.
It's heavy silicone, well made. Can reheat in the microwave (there's a vent in the lid that can be opened to allow steam out) or oven. Goes into the dishwasher. I've found I can microwave or throw into the dishwasher with it still collapsed because there's no tight folds.

I love these. I live on a boat with very little extra space. These containers break down into a smaller space when not in use. They have worked great for all kinds of leftovers and reheating. I will purchase more of them.

holds odors
I rarely ever give 1 star reviews. I just can't recommend this item. I purchased 3 for our RV and thought they were going to be wonderful. Multi-use, Collapsible, microwave friendly, convection oven to 500º, etc. I washed them before use and my partner pointed out a strong soap odor. I used one to store tuna salad in the fridge...next day the container smelled like fish and the odor wouldn't come out. I threw them away. CS has a great return policy and I'm sure I could've returned them, but it wasn't worth the trouble for the little cost (they were on sale). I have purchased TONS of things from CS over the years, but this one was a bust. Rare.

It Sounded Like A Good Idea
When I picked the bowl up, I thought it felt like a nice enough quality to justify the price, and I liked the idea of the vent plug thing. After I got home and washed it, I couldn't get mine to seal without it collapsing enough to squirt the liquid out onto the counter. Maybe this isn't supposed to be used for food with a high liquid content? I had planned to try it another time with something solid (like leftover meatloaf), but my husband does the dishes & he threw it out after the mess I made with the soup.

Cleaning collapse containers in dishwasher seems to leave a residue. Is washing by hand with perhaps vinegar clean better?
in my opinion...no. even with vinegar, for me, it still left a residue and odor.
