You can only use it if you put dry food at the bottom because the spoon is attached to the bottom of the insert.

I put my cranberries on top (dried) and I put the candied walnuts on bottom. I haven't used it for yogurt yet.
Vegetables with a cold cheese dressing on top sounds good too.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Mama2FE great containers for kids
I love all of the Sistema Klip-It containers, and these breakfast containers are great. My kids (2 1/2 and 5) eat breakfast at school, and these are perfect for them. I particularly love that the Klip-It closures are easy even for little ones to do it themselves. My 2 1/2 year old is pretty determined to be self-sufficient, and with these, she can be. We put the milk in the larger container, and put the cereal in the smaller top compartment, and haven't had any leaks. It's easier for the kids, too, to just pour the cereal into the milk instead of the other way around.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by msm940 Pretty handy, but messy inside.
I bought this hoping it would work for may 9 year old for yogurt & graham crackers. I put the yogurt on top & the graham crackers on the bottom...it travelled in the lunchbox, on the bus to school. By the time it came back home it was a mess! (the top container is not sealed from the bottom container, there was yogurt in the bottom with soggy graham crackers) I'll try fruit on top next time with cheese cubes on the bottom. Just know that whatever you place in the top protion can leak into the bottom portion. The clip-top seals the whole container very well; just know that the top portion is not sealed seperately from the bottom.

I bought this container mainly for taking cereal/milk to work. I was a little disappointed that is smaller than I was expecting, so the amount of cereal and milk that fit in it is less than what I would eat at home. Although the milk did not leak outside the container, it leaked into the cereal before arriving at work. I think it will work fine with yogurt, but unfortunately, my main reason for buying was to use with cereal. The spoon is good...much better than expected. It is sturdier than your average plastic spoon, and snaps nicely into the bottom of the top container. I am sure I will find things to use this for, but probably not cereal.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by mbt2119 Perfect for my morning
I need to be up and out very early in the morning and tend not to have time for breakfast before classes begin. I'm a yogurt-and-granola-every-day person and now that I've bought this container, I can't imagine my days with out it! It's perfect for yogurt and fruit on top and granola underneath. I don't need to worry about remembering a spoon, and everything stays separate until I'm ready to mix. Delightful!

This is a great way to separate breakfast goodies. I use it for greek yogurt and granola. It's much cheaper to buy a large container of yogurt, then to buy those expensive cups at the store. I just wish they made a larger one for cereal and milk since not much cereal would fit in this one.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Verified Reviewer Good Purchase, but not perfect
The included spoon is an attractive feature since I always forget to pack it. I used this for packing my breakfast (yogurt with granola and fruit). The included spoon is exposed to whatever food product you put on the bottom, so you will definitely need to pack napkins as well. I would like this product better by removing the insert and using it for soup since the top seals on tightly.

I bought three of these for my kids school snacks. They are a huge hit! All three kids can open and close them (ages 5-11), so that's great! My favorite part is that they don't spill - even with liquid in it! Great for all kinds of snacks as they really do stay contained in their little compartment.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Brooklein Great for yogurt parfaits
I love this for taking yogurt with granola to work. Yogurt in the main compartment, granola in the top tray, and the spoon's in there ready to go. Know that it's fairly equal proportions; I end up having a bit more granola and a bit less yogurt than I might otherwise serve. But it's so handy to have it all in one container!
