Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Quality Love these small containers. The flexible plastic lids fit perfectly and feel durable, not like a stiff plastic that might crack or break over time. I bought the smallest size to store a variety of equipment for my computer [flash drives, headphones etc] and it's great to have these things organized and visible. Although I prefer glass for food storage, these square & rectangular containers would be ideal for many other household storage needs. Glad I found them - thanks Container Store. October 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by These are perfect sized to store bags of flour and sugar. There is usually a little flour left from a 5 lb. bag but it's about the amount I'm about to use for what I'm making so it's not a big deal for me. January 22, 2017
Rated 4 out of 5 by dog food containers I purchased these for home made dog food. It is difficult to find this dimension of food container, therefore I purchased twice as many needed. There are 2 drawbacks. The biggest one that I did not realize until I recieved the containers is, they do not stack one inside the other (without lids) for compact storage. The second was stated on the website, lid are not dishwasher safe and need to be hand washed. June 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for cookies! I bake a lot during the holidays and these containers are perfect for storing all the sweets that can't be stacked. I own about five of them and they are used quite often. I have put them in the freezer as well with no issues which is why I am perplexed by the other comments about the lids not fitting. I have not experienced that problem. My lids all fit perfectly. November 1, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Lid doesnt fit I like the container and I'd have plenty of uses for it ...if the lid would stay closed. Waste of money. January 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Lids don't fit These are a very nice size for what I needed--to store single layers of trout in the freezer, asparagus, etc. However the lids do not fit after running them through the dishwasher once--top rack. They are warped and too small for the containers now. The description claims the containers are top rack dishwasher safe which is why I bought them. November 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Do not purchase! The lid does not close properly. When one side is pressed down and secured, another corner pops up. October 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect I wanted a container to carry Humus in for work. I was having trouble finding one with wide mouth but not too deep. This is perfect. I also used it for carrying pills on a trip. Double duty purchase! May 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful addition to my kitchen I love these round food keepers. Especially the little one which is perfect for snacks like trail mix, etc to take on the go! April 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great little containers I love the smaller containers for carrying snacks like nuts, carrots, etc to work! Sturdy and easy to clean. April 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for sandwiches and a veggie/fruit! Excellent replacement for a sandwich baggie! Very durable, easy to clean, and the divider moves easily and helps keep your veggie/fruit choice away from the sandwich. I haven't tried anything too watery to see if it spreads under the divider, but so far, great product. April 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great brownie container Great container to store leftover brownies. Stacks just one high, so they don't stick together. I'm sure there are other uses too, like decorated cookies, so they don't get messed up. March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not Just for Food I use these containers for everything; extra outlet plugs, crafts and especially my seashell collection. They keep my mini shells nice and organized. I have had some of them for years, very durable! March 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Threw out all my other food storage Theses are my favorite. They are see through, they stack nicely and they are available in great sizes February 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Food Keepers ( Round) Great for storing sugar, flours, oatmeal, noodles. February 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Soft lids get too soft over time I got these four years ago because they have the easiest lids to open for a preschooler. The soft lid is easy for a young child to pry open. Other containers (snapping, screwing, or simply squeezing on) were too hard for her. HOWEVER, four years on, the lids are now TOO soft. I often put fruit in these containers, which very slightly ferment as they warm towards lunchtime. This fermenting pops open the lids and fruit juice (which has drained a bit from the now-warm fruit) spills all over. I circumvent this problem with a rubber band around the container. With another preschooler stepping up, though, I'm not sure how he will handle the rubber band, so I am looking for other solutions for him. February 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Handy Container Stores baking supplies. Spoon is a nice addition and fits without taking up additional space. January 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good for chips I use this one for packing chips for my son's lunch. January 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for snacks It works very well for the cereal I pack for my son. January 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding for Use in RVs I love all the rectangular containers in this line of storage containers. The shapes fit snugly and stack conveniently in our small RV-sized refrigerator and cabinets. The lids seal so well that food stays fresh, and even if it tips over or falls out of a cabinet or fridge while RV is moving, the lid won't come off and contents will not spill. December 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lush storage I love these containers. I was looking for storage for my Lush bath products. They needed to be completely clear and air tight. These containers are perfect. I like that they have all different sizes and they fit perfectly in my drawers. December 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by handy little containers I first purchased these little containers several years ago. They were great then for keeping my toddlers snacks and still work great now for my grown ten year olds school lunch snacks. I love the easy to open lids and the fact that they are a safe plastic to use for my family. I will definitely buy more in the near future. November 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect!! Amazing!! These things are PERFECT for my 3 kiddos' lunches. The plastic is thick & sturdy with just enough flexibility that they seem like they will stand up to a lot of repeat use. The lids fit flawlessly & are easy for my children to take off & put back on -- AND the lids stay sealed tightly even with typical kiddo lunch bag abuse. I use them in conjunction with the 4 oz. Small Food Keeper (same product line) and between the movable divider and the 4 oz. container (which can also easily fit INSIDE the Divided Keeper!) I am able to configure them in a multitude of arrangements AND have a leak-proof compartment within compartment. It is so nice to finally be able to QUICKLY & EASILY assemble school lunches and keep everything separate as needed -- my kiddos love taking some crackers, lunch meat & cheese slices cut into fourths, some fresh fruit, and a small treat for dessert -- however it used to be such a pain either having a bunch of separate containers or wrapping things in plastic wrap or foil to make sure the strawberries didn't stain the turkey red or make the crackers soggy, for example. Plus these little containers hold a lot! (or at least plenty for what my kids typically eat at school) -- I can fit 2 slices of lunch meat & 1-2 slices of cheese (cut into fourths -- which I put side-by-side in the 4 oz. keeper), 2-3 strawberries and a small handful of grapes (which I tuck in alongside the 4 oz. keeper on one half of the Divided Keeper), about 8 crackers, AND a small handful of Nutter Butter Bites. Yet it is such a slim profile!! They take up minimal space in my cabinets when not in use, and I can neatly & easily stack half a dozen of them in a small section of my fridge and have 2 days' worth of lunches for 3 kiddos on standby without sacrificing very much space in my rather small refrigerator. (I actually purchased a wire mesh pantry organizer basket from Container Store for $17.99 and it is the perfect size to store our 6 Divided Keepers in the fridge lined up vertically and the kiddos' water bottles right beside.) I used my label maker to label each kids' name on two of the containers -- now they just have to grab one box which has ALL of their food in it, water bottle, and ice pack & they are on their way... and I can make lunches every other night now instead of every night. I never thought I'd be this excited about food containers, but as a single full-time working mama of a 9-year-old and a pair of 8-year-old twins, these products have made one area of my life that was a constant uphill battle practically a breeze! I feel the urge to tell everyone I know about these containers!! lol October 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by small food keepers I got a couple for my child's lunch box. They keep the food from spilling, and they are much easier for her to open than some of the others I've tried. We will get more. October 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fits Great In Cabinet This slim container holds Arnold's Sandwich Thins perfectly and fits nicely in our pantry without taking much space. September 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME storage keepers These storage keepers keep food items fresh and are easy to manage opening and closing. MY FAVORITE!! They are the perfect size for small amounts and for food storage that gets smaller as the family eats leftovers. April 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by kids lunch life saver I use these everyday to pack my kids' lunches. they work great and the kids can open them. i like how snugly the tops fit so that there are never leaks. April 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I was waiting for!!!!!! I purchased a couple of these for my Holiday Baking. I do not like to stack certain candies and other desserts because they stick together. These containers work great. In addition they stack perfectly when I am storing the baked goods!! They keep anything I have stored in them fresh, also. March 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic for storing ice cream I make all my own ice cream and use these containers exclusively. I find that 1-quart containers are too tight and don't allow for expansion in the freezer. These work great, no matter what I add to the base. They fit in the freezer perfectly and efficiently, and I love the handle - it allows me to grab the container without freezing my hand - perfect! March 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by affordable containers good sizing helps package a lot of deferent items. March 15, 2013

Community Q&A

do these nest?

can I nest the same size together? my favorite ones nest but are round and take up more room in the fridge.
Asked by: sarahlala
No, mine do not stack one inside the other without lids. They take up space when being stored empty. The plus to the square in the fridge, is they nestle uptight to each container.

Are these stackable?

Asked by: LindseyE
The Handled Keeper & Spoon has a flat top & bottom so it can be stacked. The bottom is slightly smaller than the top so when stacked, it is not a tight fit; however, the top does have a lip to assist in stacking.

Do you offer a size that is in between the 16 oz and 1.5 qt? I need something in-between -- approx 1 qt. 16 oz is too small and 1.5 qt is too big

Asked by: Nate1
We don't offer a size in between the measurements mentioned for this particular product, but we do offer it in the Oblong Tellfresh realseal containers, sku # 10058898 with a range starting from 16.9 oz to 4.2 qt. The 30.4 oz would be the closest between the measurements you listed.

Is this the same container I bought before?

I bought nine containers from you before and I want to buy several more but I can't tell if these are the same ones. On the lid, they say "Keeper Flexible Sealware" and on the bottom of the containers there is Japanese writing and the words "Lustro Ware" (Stock B-834). Are these the same ones I bought before?
Asked by: Deed
This is same product we’ve carried for a long time...there have been updates to some of the labeling on the bottom but no changes to the product itself.

Is it possible to purchase replacement lids?

I have a damaged lid, but the container is fine. I don't need to replace both parts.
Asked by: CookieC
Unfortunately we do not carry replacement lids. Please contact us at contain@containerstore.com for further assistance.
